jagat101, 24 Aug 2009I'm on the fence on getting a KP500...after reading severa... moreyeah it's weird. i've read about atleast 3 reports about cracked screens by putting kp500 in pocket of pants but none about cracked screens by dropping it, despite a lot of users saying they dropped their cookie, some even from as high as shoulder level. i keep my cookie in a leather case though, so dropping it accidentally won't even put a scratch on it. i love my cookie..

I'm on the fence on getting a KP500...after reading several owner complaints on cracked digitizer lens screens just by inserting it inside garment pockets, etc., I can't imagine the flimsiness/questionalble quality of this phone!
How is the long term reliability of the KP500? I'm not rough on cellphones (always keep them in protective cases/screen protectors, etc)...except for the occasional accidental drops, I'm concerned that if I do get this phone..it will not last me a year, even with careful use.

NAA, 23 Aug 2009hello, how do i assign a song to my contacts?just edit your contacts. and make sure you're using handset contacts not sim. you can't add ringtone if you're using sim contacts..

phone's got no special feactures .. display is bad phone camera is bad ... plzzzzzzzzz don't buy it

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2009hey how do you install games?is it just click and drag like... moreThe first thing you need to do is to install LG PC SUITE 2,then conect the usb cable in computer and choose from the phone:pc suite.The second thing,open LG PC SUITE 2,click next,next again,and after the software find your phone click JAVA APPLICATION.Next select the jar or jad file and click transfer.after it's load,check your phone and install the game.That's all.

sam, 22 Aug 2009hey kokey!how do i check the firmware? if its v10d?go to >top menu >settings >phone settings >handset info. there you'll find your software version. it doesn't have to be v10d, any version above v10d is ok i think since its more recent. v10c & below still have some bugs so avoid it. allthough other newer versions are faster, some still have the calculator problem but the restarting bug is already fixed. v10d is the most stable and also the most common version so i suggested it.

In connection to your query if it is safe to purcahse the LG online...I would rather suggest that you go to a legitimate LG Shop wherein you can see and check the phone before purchasing. The possibilty of a defective mobile is high if you do buy it online.
