the cookie is a nice little everyday phone but I think there's a software glitch with the calculator feature. I tried adding two figures (170.21 and 29.79) and the answer I got from the cookie was 199.1. The correct answer is 200. When I switched around the figures and entered "170.79 + 29.21" I got the correct answer. Because of this, whenever i use the calculator feature i always have to double check the answers, which is time consuming.

pls can someone tell me how to change wallpaper i recently downloaded some from internet (200*400)and each time i try 2 use it, it says "not enough memory 2 save" but other 200*400 pictures that came with the phone can be used.

i'm sure the default code is either 1234 or 0000 or 12345; i have this phone for a few weeks now and it's cool, I'm happy with it though i have noticed that it freezes from time to time and often very slow when you're browsing - overall though it's a great phone and satisfies the desire for touch technology.

ive got the kp500. trying to use the external memory as ive just purchased a memory card but a screen pops up and says it needs a security code. does anybody know the standard pin for the security code?

cookie is nice and cool but sometimes there's a problem about the screen and its not soft touch.

*Randomly turning off

I have had the cookie for about 7 months now and I have to say I am not impressed. Sure it starts out great, the price is fantastic but it is quick to develop problems with the touch screen and randomly switching off. I wouldn't recommend it in a hurry

I think that LG have the right idea, give a cool looking phone for peanuts, its a great phone, just a quick question though, does the KP500 have bluetooth stereo support as my bluetooth stereo headset keeps asking mono or stereo support, ??? thanks in advance, Lee : o)

Very fast Bluetooth
and also i mentioned the usb cable is quite slow when making file transfers. Pairing the your computer/laptop to your lg cookie will make the data transfers much faster!!

It has a great ... moreI also forgot to mention if you get a memory card reader for the memory card and have an 4GB/8GB/16GB MicroSDHC make sure that the memory card reader is SDHC/MicroSDHC compatible other wise the memory card reader will fail to read the memory card.

Great Phone got it last week for 130 Euros. It has a great 3MP camera but lacks flash and other stuff but i can do without them because I dont need them. Lacks WiFi and 3G. LG could at least put WiFi and raise the price a bit but still its not bad without wifi. Great Sound quality and picture quality but the video player lags a bit but its not that bad. Headphones are pretty awesome. Calling is awesome coz it has superb sound quality but i rarely call coz its very expensive (credit) Great for Messaging too but its really annoying texting outside in the day coz its screen reflects alot and making it impossible to text outdoors. Great touch screen for the price make sure you have a screen protector very responsive even with the screen protector. Also really nice stylus but a bit small but also the cookie has handwriting recognition. Awesome auto-rotating display and takes very little time to rotate, great virtual qwerty keyboard, very light, nice motion sensor games but i never play them coz they lagg a bit and are a bit boring, would prefered wifi instead of them, internet browser is pretty fast but if you feel that it isnt fast enough for you download opera mobile which is much faster. make sure before using the internet or sending an email on the lg cookie make sure that you have a good pre-paid/montly paid internet. another thing that i like you can change the turn off and turn on images. You also have 2 desktops: the widget screen and the speeddial. In the speeddial desktop you can select a few contacts and with a touch of your finger you can either edit their info call them text them or delete them. On the desktops you can have different wallpapers for example you can make the wallpaper on the widget home screen different from the speed-dial home screen. You can also lock the contacts/widgets. The widget home-screen is quite similar to windows gadgets on windows 7. You can select the clock the calendar quick notes picture gallery radio or now playing. When you lock the phone the lock screen is pretty similar to the iPhone which i really fancy which view the date and time in pretty large text.
Overall I think for its price you should go for it.
Advantages:
Responsive 3-inch touchscreen
Supports Memory cards up to 16gb (to be safe go for 8gb)
Great 3MP camera
Can easily install java applications
Great sound and video quality
Nice handwriting recognition
Virtual qwerty keyboard
Very lightweight and not bulky
Disadvantages:
Battery not very good
File transfers via usb is quite slow. I recomend getting a memory card (MicroSD/MicroSDHC) and inserting it in the memory card reader which is much faster.
No 3G or WiFi
No 3.5mm Jack (but you can get a 3.5mm jack adapter off ebay pretty easy)
Very reflective which makes it impossible send an sms outdoors (like LG Shine)
Overall again I say if you want a nice phone with awesome multimedia capalities but not very expensive go for it :)
