The phone is brilliant features, userfriendly, camera is excellant, video camera is amazing, touch screen excellant, Battery performance is good.
All I can say really a high end phone which really works for your style statement

i have read some great reviews on this phone, i love it too and the photos are great quality, however, seven hours and my battery is dead. The store replaced the battery twice and the phone once, still useless. I am perservering with it because i love the phone, does anyone have any suggestions? i have had the phone for four months, cheers Os

Hi everyone,
I've posted here before, just after i got my Viewty. This was more or less 11 months ago. And i still do not tire of this phone. It's quite an amazing device.
Since then, i have taken about 2000 photos with it, and hundreds of videos. The camera often needs some tweaking with the settings to get good shot, but overall it's fantastic. The macro shots are really impressive.
I've tweaked my handset too, enabled custom themes on it, and juiced up my MP3 player volume. Now it's a practical music player :) I've read lots of comments about bad battery life. I don't have any problem whatsoever, in fact - it lasts longer than most multimedia orientated devices. The battery life did fluctuate during the first month of use, but it evened out at a constant 3 days per charge.
As for "soft" ringtones - try using a .wma file. You'll be suprised!
My only major gripe is that the phone slows down once the memory card starts to fill up. It's a bit annoying, but one gets used to that. Also, it could be that i had to hack my phone in order to use custom themes. Don't try this at home, hehe.
While browsing the forum, i spotted a post saying that the phone does not have a document reader, because there is nothing in the Documents folder. Eh? When you don't have pics in your Images folder, does that mean the phone can't open image files? Why do you think does it have the docs folder in the first place?
Erm, don't answer that. Rethorical question. *chuckles*
Anyway, kudos to LG on making me a devoted fan :)

i brought this phone on the 22nd of august 08 and was pleased with it but found the battery would go dead in about 3 days, which being touch screen and the vibration when touching screen i figured it was normal but a month down the line it is really bad. I can fully charge the battery up and without using it and no bluetooth on i am lucky for the battery to last 6 HOURS please consider this before buying because i think this maybe a design fault, for other people i have spoken to since have had the same problem. i only hope that when you read this it might make you think twice.

Brilliant phone. Camera quality fantastic, divx converter makes watching your favorite videos on your phone easy. Being touch screen just makes using a phone so much easier rather than more difficult as i anticipated. I find battery life brilliant. Lasts about 3-5 days depending on wether i listen to music or not. Web browsing is good, but ideally you need to use the stylus as using your fingers for web browsing can be fiddly. Luckily, using the touch screen to text isnt difficult and you can do it quite easily without the stylus. The only problem i had with the phone was the music playback quality which was disappointing. However, i have just followed the instructions below to change the settings to make playback louder through headphones and it worked. Thanks to the poster that gave those instructions. So overall, an outstanding phone, and if you change those settings for music playback, a faultless phone.

I love this phone, but the battery life is realllllllyy bad!!!! cameras excellent, loveit, but i guess the feautures a phone the more battery it is bound to take

I purchased the un... morehello just wanted to comment on diz fone, i had had it since like 4 months now, i love it, more the videos i do, the camera is far better than the 3.0 and below missing i lil more color though but the clarity is great, love that u can do videos with ur own music love it especially for myspace, dont use much the hangwrittin on fotos, the battery it wasnt gud at all i got bout 3.5 hrs of talk time but then i found by turnin off ur bluttooth diz will give u more battery life, now i get bout 5.5hrs of talk time, bout 7hrs of music, three hrs of video and bout 3days of stad by. i also went to potions and put power save, ppl dont kno diz but i alwayz figure out my fone in the same day, i figure diz on the third day though hope diz helps ciao

Hi, just got my viewty yesterday. I have the silver one, together with the docking station. I was thinking of buying the samsung F480 but got this one instead. So far, no regrets.. It have the TV out capability and divx playback over the samsung.. I have installed some games and I'm enjoying it..

If you really want to compare the number of 'clicks' it takes for a phone to create a new text message, my old crappy phone takes one button. The left button, that's half the number of clicks your 'godly' K800 takes.
Yours takes 3 to get to music, my old took one button, again. That's 3x as fast as yours.
And you also say the touchscreen isn't responsive, but you've never even owned a touchscreen phone before. How can you compare?
And are you SERIOUSLY saying that the fact that the calculator on a CELL PHONE does not have percentage? If you're not smart enough to know how to use percentage (x100, /100), I don't think you have a right to buy this phone.
And lastly, keep your vid editting for your computer, it's much better than anything a phone can do.
