i got this phone last night but unfortunately i have not played with it yet.
any tips about this amazing phone?and what is the best settings for its camera to have the best shot?

    Hey i was wondering if there was anyone here that can help me with my Ku990, i didnt recieve the Cd that came with my Viewty to setup my things on the PC, also im trying to figure out if there is a Hardreset to this Phone ( it was Previously owned and asks for the password when i wanna Clear everything from the phone )

      i had recently bought lg viewty hand set but my phone get automatically switched off once or twice a day then again when i remove my phone betery & agaon insert it then it get switched on & one more thing i would like to ask that when i receive any call then the speker volume of the other person is very low i don't know how to increse speker volume.

          I think this is a good phone. I totally agree to reviews saying that this is not an i-phone killer since it should be pegged with other "camera phone." It would really be a good experience for those not used-to the touch screen thing and probably feel the i-phone craze. Also, IMO, this is a good substitute for a camera taking into consideration its price and convenience (Philippine condition). Please refrain from comments that Omnia, iphone 3g, etc. is better. It may be better in some of the specs but kindly consider the price/ package of technology. I find this phone as value for money. That's all folks!

            Well it seems people love this phone, why? I dont know. As a 3 inch touch screen devise, its a modern tech toy. However as a telephone its the slowest to get around phone I have used. coming form a ericsson T28 from 2000, to a sony ericsson k800, the viewty is not so practical.
            Ok to write a sms, lets see how many clicks...3 clicks not to bad but still. on k800..2 clicks.
            want to access music hhhmmm lets see how many clicks......no more then 6 clicks to get into my play list and access it. gooodnnnessss come on this is ridicules, k800 3 clicks to access my play list.
            no percentage in the calculator.
            the touch screen is at times not so responsive, and overall not fast to get around.
            No video editor, and I mean I cant edit clips together like one can with the k800
            Some people got there viewty with a document reader but the viewty I got has no document reader, the document folder is empty.
            So overall Im not so happy with it, I hope the LG KC910 Renoir will be better in all the above mentioned with the implementation of widgets.

              Hey, Ive got one, had it now for 2 days, realy great phone, I'm just having a little trouble with scrolling while browsing the net. Sometimes it clicks when I want to scroll, en sometime it doesnt click when I want it too, but maybe thats just me having to get used to touch screen.

                      Info on how to increase the media player volume for the headphones

                      1/ Go in to the service menu 3845#*990#
                      2/ Go to 2 Device Test
                      3/ then 8 Sound
                      4/ then 7 Audio CAL Tool
                      5/ then 1 Audio Calibration
                      6/ 3 Change Sound DB
                      7/ Change snd_device_type to SND_STEREO_HEADSET_MEDIA (3rd one)
                      8/ Change snd_method_type to METHOD_MIDI
                      9/ Change Item_Title to rx_volume_db7(dec) (This is the Max Volume Setting, db0 is the lowest or silent)
                      10/ notice what it says in Get Data ? something like -1400 ? this is what we need to change.

                      Guide is: -50000 is silent.So therefore 0 (zero) should be full blast BUT this also increases the Bass so 0 would be very distorted. And a positive figure even more so.
                      I think the limit is around -500.

                      I currently have mine set to -500 and for the most part seems fine, but i am using Sony Ericsson walkman earphones which are decent quality. There maybe differences with other headsets.

                      To change click in the box for set data. Enter 500 and click OK. Then click the -(MINUS) button, and click OK to change it.
                      *** NOW, click the return arrow *** not C

                      11/ Finally click on Write Sound DB to EFS
                      Now use C to come to first Service menu and then press Red.

                        Increase Volume!

                        Go on the dial pad and type in 3845#*990#
                        Then go to "Device Test"
                        then scroll to "sound"
                        Scroll to the bottom "Audio CAL Tool"
                        Then Go on "Sound Calabiration"
                        Then "Change Sound DB"
                        .....

                        Now..

                        Click snd_device_type, For changing the music you need to choose The 5th One(Snd_Speaker_Media) then click OK...

                        Change The second box To "Method_MIDI"

                        Change The Third Box To rx_volume_db_7(dec)

                        Now Tap the "Set Data" Box and enter 400 then click OK

                        Now click -(minus) And then OK

                        Now Press The Arrow At the bottom right of the screen to go back and now tap "Write SND DB to EFS"


                        And...WOLLA! Your viewty is Louder!

                          LG K990 Viewty (from Soft ringtone to Loud ringtone)


                          1. 在撥號時輸入3845#*990# 進入工程模式

                          2. 選擇第２選項 Device Test

                          3. 接著選擇第８選項 SOUND

                          4. 再進入第７選項 Audio CAL Tool

                          5. 然後再選擇第１選項 SOUND Calibration

                          6. 再選擇第３選項CHANGE SOUND DB

                          7. 選擇 snd_device_type 改成 SND_SPEAKER_MEDIA (改成第5個選項)

                          8. 再修改 snd_method_type 改成第4個選項 METHOD_MIDI

                          9. 接著修改 Item_Title 改成 rx_volume_db7(dec) (這是最大音量, db0 是最小音量)

                          10. 改到此處.注意下面有個 Get data 還有寫著-1500 地方,在 Get Data 下面的 Set Data 裡輸入-1200 如何輸入？ 先點選 Set Data 空白地方就可以改數字了，輸入後點選確定,要讓 Get Data 也變成-1200才行喔~
                          (輸入完數字1200後會看到前面少了" - ". 沒關係~按一次 -MINUS鍵,就會在數字前出現" - "這符號了)

                          11. 然後點選"返回箭頭"，千萬不要去點選"C"鍵。

                          12. 返回上一級菜單後你就會看見Write SND DB to EFS，請點選此項！！就OK了！！！


                          以上教學只改第7格的音量,如果要改1~7格的音量的話
                          只要在rx_volume_db1(dec) ~ rx_volume_db7(dec)重複第9~10的步驟,最後再進行第11~12步驟即可

                          -1200為小麥大大我測試的值,夠大聲且不爆音,以後就不會嫌 VIEWTY 不夠大聲了~~

                            Internet connection is through you network not the actual phone. The viewty has HSDPA capability, so fast internet connection is available as long as you network provides it.

                              Video is fine, just check ur settings.
                              i rate this phone, had it 6 months and it never fails me

                                Well everyone was ranting and raving about this phone, and I was too when I got it nearly a year ago, but truth be told its not amazing and its CERTAINLY NOT AN IPHONE KILLER, I regret being so hard arsed and not just getting the iphone, or now ipone 3G, mine has BROKEN 3 TIMES, so im on my third one, the only thing that is good about it is the loud speaker and the fact that I'm o2 and those guys sort you out with any problems instantly

                                    Michael, 27 Sep 2008I've got the phone and love it, apart from the battery life... moreits not the phone its the network 3. my mum got a phone from there and the same thing happened to her phone and it wasnt even an LG Viewty!!! my advice is, if u got it on contract, then after its finished dont make another contract with them!
