hey yeah i have the same damn problem.
i bought mine...(brand new sealed in box) from ebay but i think he screwed me.
the IMEI# on the box is different than that of the phone...so im filing a dispute thru paypal...
in regards to the freezing..my phone does it when the media menu is accessed...anything in the media menu including the camera..the phone freezes, and stops responding..and then shuts off and turns itself back on...GAY.
im not even gonna ask for a replacement. im asking him for a refund
im goin to the UK in a few months..hopefully i'll be able to get it from there without the hassles.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I've heard rumors about KE990, the successor to KU990. I was told it's going to have Wifi, lens cover, better firmware, optical zoom, and etc. I think KE990 is just another version of KU990 for Russian market. KE990 does have lens cover, but it doesn't support 3G and it's lacking front camera for video conferencing.
Does anyone know that next version of Viewty is coming out for sure?

Hi, got my ku 990 3 month ago. I love the phone, but lately it have started to shut down and I have to take the battery out then back inn again before I can turn it on again. I have no idea why, so I wonder if there is anybody that have the same problem with their phone.

@"i am thinking about getting this phone and im wondering if it can take a 8gb card or at least the 4" - yes. i'm using a 4gig sandisk card on mine and it works like a charm. the phone doesn't read the right free disk space when it's beyond 2G but nevertheless reads everything in it (quite fast too). and contrary to what others say, i am able to save/write videos and photos on my 4 gig card.

hey i just got the viewty about a week ago.i gotta be real its really cool . i have no problem with it. all cool nd stuff. but can someone tell me how to put apps?? such as themes.. if you do pls email me about it.

I've had the phone since Nov & it totally rocks.Cell C is cr@p coz it limits the use of some functions but Voda/MTN work like a charm.Trust me u'll have no problems. The Divx is killer

ive been reading all the opinions and ive decided to get the veiwty but i cant say that im not worried bout the freazing. But the main thing is i hope the camera is the sh@* in south africa its preety cheap costs bout R3k and thats cheap

I have been trying to play the radio on the speaker. No such luck. Does anyone know if this is a functionality on the phone and if yes how to make the radio play via the phone speaker?

You can take photos with the front camera. Just change the settings while you're using the main camera.

had the phone for 2 weeks now and its brilliant. been using the camera function and the clarity is amazing.
the only down side of this phone is that the memory card can only be taken out after you take the battery off.

got another one....for sur now i'm buying the lg but now deciding whether to buy the black one or the dark silver..the question is..is it true that the dark silver is better than the black one ..its just simply a matter of color..they talk about the joy wheel...where is it found....thank again for the answers...hope that this one will be the best that suit me..i've used nokia...siemen...sagem..sony ericsson.....

ok well. i havent had any bad experiences with ebay..i bought it from an Ebay store. whos got over 150k positive reviews. like i said i just got a bad batch..im not arguing over ebay or amazon
now consider this. had i said that i got it from amazon but was having the same problem..what would response have been then?
i posted to get advice to see if anyone else was experiencing any of the same issues im having..not where to buy it from next time

sometimes i can get into the my stuff folder but when i go to my pictures or my videos itll freeze up
sometimes it happens when trying to load the camera too.
the screen then becomes non-responsive, none of the buttons respond either and it takes it bout 60 seconds or so to reboot itself up
more of an annoyance than anything cuz then ur stuck with SUPER DUPER phone...and u gotta wait for it to restart....
i know its a manufacturing defect cuz ive heard of some people having the same exact problem..
anyone know what's causing it or how to fix it?

Well u have bad luck wit electronics, i have bad luck wit ebay, 100% of wat i bought arrived spoilt and i ended up having to buy the product again some where else, so when u add it up its like paying double wit massive inconvinience. If u try amazon its d opposite, its not some guy trying to make a quick buck, its an actual company just web based. and 90% of everything i bought from dem works gr8. U may buy d phone over again and d battery may go in a few months. Low prices will always interest us but quality that lasts is better, please take my advice ebay is a con use amazon or play. This is a quality phone and so buy it at a quality place to enjoy its benfits wit no problems :)
