@Anonymous moron - Yes I'm sure you have more than 500 contacts, honest. As to not being able to set up Gmail errr did you try just downloading the GMail app for mobile phones? Works great :)
oh and scrolling using touch works great here. Maybe you should of spent more than 3 hours with it and actually tried reading the manual.

@apples - I know what an MMS is. An EMS is a different thing altogether. With an EMS is a set of predefined animations and sound effects you could put into a standard SMS message to enliven them. For some strange reason the Viewty can receive and display EMS messages but you can neither create not forward them.

it has mms..when you write message it automatically converts SMs to MMS once you insert pictures,sounds,videos...so you can send those winking things (*.gif)

try to request from Tmobile their network settings via OTA(Over the Air) - they will send you the settings automatically...all you need is to save the settings on your phone...if it is not available try to ask the following settings...1. APN 2. GPRS Settings 3. MMS Settings....just post here if you have the info then i'll help you out...

The other Dif. between KU990 and N95 8GB is that the N95 DOESN'T have a touch screen, 5MP Camera, slow motion video recording or a huge screen...and its twice the price!

for the people that are having trouble with the battery life .. heres a cool tip:
to save battery life go to the backlight set up and reduce the percentage being used. most of the time the phone will be on 100 % if you move it to a 50% ill give you more battery life. also go to power management and check the battery save option. if its not check.. check it and it should help your battery life...hope that helps you guys ...

Same person as below. Sorry for the typos.
This phone has a full Google package with Blogger, Google Search and Gmail installed under applications and games but you will have more data charges to pay as you are already online the moment you sign in to Google. It's also abit fiddly to use.
Back to WM 6 smartphone now.

I was seduced by this phone- its style and the touchscreen - never mind the limited contacts book of 500 contacts and no SSL encryption - so forget about setting up email like Gmail etc, never mind that scrolling thorugh am enu touching the screen is terible and does not work or respond properly - not like the iPhone or Ipod Touch with it's superior touch flow . I bought this phone .
It lasted 2 hours with me - I ahve returned to good old WM ^ - boring and all but hey - it owrks and the cmaera is sitll 3 MP.
Tjis phone will drive you mad if you have extensive contacts and like to message and email often .

Hello,
to compare the con's with competitors :
Both Nokia's : no touchscreen, no USB charging
N95-2 : no SDHC/IO, poor LED flash
N82-1 : odd form, big size, tad small screen
LG Viewty : no SIP & Wifi, no GPS, JAVA apps, featurefull but propriatary OS
HTC Touch Cruise : 3mpix, no flash
Sony K850 : featureless lighted proprietary Symbian based OS, APN need manual settings, no Wifi, no GPS
to compare the pro's :
Nokia's : featurefull S60, NokiaNav, SIP
N95-2 : size, screen size, better quality,
N82-1 : Xenon Flash, accelerometer
LG Viewty : Xenon Flash, lowest price, RDS
HTC Touch Cruise : TomTom Map, stylus dock, nav wheel
Sony K850 : Xenon Flash, Best Sound quality
So
for PDA use : N95=N82>Cruise>K850>Viewty
for APN use : N82>K850>Viewty>N95>Cruise
for GPS use : Cruise>N82>N95>Viewty>K850
for MP3 use : K850>N95=N82>Viewty>Cruise
My problem is that until now, the only handset that I can buy from my provider is the Viewty (at 129€)... not so bad but lacks of real Nav app with GPS keychain

How do you get the annoying sound off when you are in normal mode?
