Dave- just below i have ur reply, read that first. A quicker method is to press d menu botton then settings side tap, then go to phone settings, select connectivity, then usb connection and select mass storage. This would make d pc see ur phone like a pen drive when it connects. 4 mass storage 2 work u need a memory card

Dave- if u have already installed d phone software on d phone: Connect ur phone 2 d pc, open lg pc suite, select usb connection from d wizard that pops and complete d wizard, select contents and copy and paste ur pics to d image part of ur phone. Use high res. ones the look amazing.

the N95 8GB has Sat nav, wifi, 3.5mm headphone jack, symbian OS and a 3D graphics chip :D

I'm thinking of getting the phone. As far as I know it has a flash operating system/interface.
I need to know if I can install Skype on it?
It doesn't have WIFI so Skype will have to work over the 3g.

It's a nice phone. I have one.
You can use the "pen" and write in chinese and english. It has character recognition from either writing on the page or having a drawing "block" set-up.

i'm disappointed w/the divx player. have to use converter though already .divx. unless u load n and go bed, it takes forever!!! misleading...then again, what more do we want out of a phone. It's obvious that cellphone/comp will become one in the near future, the price is Outrageous

To unnamed user- The sound Quality is around 10watts rms(real wattage)- however to experience it u must convert ur mp3 or wav in the highest quality. The music quality is clear and loud but d bass is not equal to a standard 10w speaker( as u should expect). 4 movies the sound is around 8w- but d movie quality is the equal to d finest dvd quality on d market- really it is.
D speakers 4 movies and music is located 2 d back( 2 stripes below camera). :)

I found out that the files which have too long names are not listed. for example this song:
07-Lying_is_the_Most_Fun_a_Girl_Can_Have_Without_Taking_Her_Clothes_Off.mp3
I renamed it to
07-Lying_is_the_Most_Fun...mp3
I renamed it to and is now listed in the music player and "my stuff"

@kkiong - The LG default is usually 0000
@Karl - Well it must do as one of the options for TV out is PAL which, as far as I am aware, is a UK only format.
Anyway Having played with the phone a bit longer there are a few annoyances.
1 - It supports the receiving of EMS messages (animations, sounds etc) but you cannot create one.
2 - You cannot forward a received EMS message. I don't see why not given it' just an SMS with some embedded code.

To smith- no, i have over 200 sounds and about 100 pics and even movies, using a 2 gb card- no problems. Maybe ur card is 2 big- good thing i did not buy a huge card like u. :)

[viewty bug]
Today I have discovered that if I put more than 7 files in a directories, some of them are not listed. They are completely inacessible. For example, if I ripp a CD with 9 songs, Viewty says the directory contains 9 files, but 2 are missing. In another diectory with 11 files, 3 are missing. In a directory with 17 files, 3 are missing.
If I inspect the directories with Windows, the device being connected as a mass storage, all of the files are there.
I am using a 6 Gb microSDHC card.
Viewty onwners, did anyone of you notice that problem?
Please check with your phone...
