i like my viewty, its cool. and when your mates got a iphone they say god i wish i could pictures as good as that, coupled with 3G hmm hmm Iphone i dont think so, but i will say, its because of the iphone i got a veiwty and havent looked back. my only niggle is there is no lens cover like SE K850, that would have made it perfect for me. but maybe in the update or the next LG uber phone next year. good work LG.

worth changing bruv... such a sikkkkkkk phone.. m so much happy wif mah phone n yeah u can set video ringtones on this phone too wif no software but the only condition is they have to be in wma format :D

Well i had it for 7 days and decided to return the phone. My verdict is this. The touchscreen is okay: a hit and miss response. For some reason, it stopped paring with my Jabra JX10. So I switched to Motorola H700 bluetooth headset and it paired okay. However, over a short time, the dB gain starts to deteriate and the person talking on the other could literally yell in the phone, and I would still hear tiny sounds. So I decided to pair yet with another bluetooth headset, and unfortunately, i have to report that the sounds are still tiny. Okay, so I decided not to use bluetooth at all and just juse the earpiece to talk and the earpiece sounded tiny too but a little louder than the bluetooth headset. This is an indication that something in the hardware is failing, and it would be a matter of time before the phone would become completely usesless in regards to phone functions. The mp3 player is medicore; it doesn't sound loud and there is no EQ to adjust sound settings. This is the main reason why I returned the phone due to bad bluetooth dB gain, bad earpiece dB gain, and mp3 player is just on the mediocore side.
On the positive note, the UI is fantastic. You could use your thumb to flick up/down to move to the next few lines, so you don't have to use the wheel on the back of the phone. BTW, the wheel on the back of the phone used for manual focus and moving scroll bar is, i have to agree with some people, rubblish and next to useless. The phone itself feels tight but light and therefore, the overall feeling is cheap almost like a toy. Also the signal reception is somewhat miss/hit performance where the Viewty would lose signal, my Nokia 6300 would lock on the signal solid....weird. I switched back to my trusted NOkia 6300; it doesn't have all the fancy features like the Viewty but it works well as a phone and MP3 player. The sounds on the 6300 is loud just the way I like it. After all a mobile phone is used for making calls loud and clear; if the Viewty can't measure up to this then what's the point. It is just 5mp camera, though a very good one for the phone.

how to compare this with the Sony Ericsson P1 guys? I know P1 has wifi, OS, but what's your opinion?

I'm waiting for the Viewty to be deliver but I had a hard time between Viewty and SE960. Ahhh!!! Considering Viewty doesn't have Wifi, but its very sleak and have a nice touch. Anyways, viewty got irresistible style that you should give it a try. I hope its worth it. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all.

there is no microsoft app. there are better phones to choose from at the similar price

Can you explain what did to get your Viewty display album art? Or what conditions must be met?
For my part, I did that experiment:
- I downloaded an mp3 that contains cover images embedded
- I embedded a cover image inside an mp3 (as an ID3 tag)
- I checked that Windows Media Player 9 series is able to display those images
=>My Viewty's mp3 player is unable to display those images.
So I am wondering what kind of embedded images it can display.

i am very happy with my viewty. its cool and looks as a good as an iphone but with more features. as i said to lg the only downside i can find is there is no cover for lens. maybe an update my fix this.

Great phone generally, more stable than my last N95, not as good for music as a walkman phone, but no phone has everything you want exactly as you want it. Only major disappointment is no TV out function in the UK! LG won't support it or even discuss it!?!

yes mate, it's well worth changing, takes a little while to get used to the sensitivity of the screen, you have to be firm with it, i was a nokia man my whole life, owned 1 samsung and im glad i chose this man,, ITS UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!! no equalizer on the mp3 but it;s a small price to pay for the sheer quality of this handset man!!! VIEWTY ROCKS MY SOCKS

I am looking to get this but got one question. does the 3g camera take pictures on it too. my old 3g samsung did at 2mp but nokia's 3g camera isnt even a 1mp and thats got a 5mp camera on the back etc. was wondering if someone could shed some light on the 3g camera?

1-is it really have a bad mp3 player ( without an equalizer -how come- )
2-i heard that after using it u will be bored fast
3-it has no downloadable themes or games ?( i dont bleive )
4-last one wat do u think about the phone is it deserve the money ?? or its only a nice camera ? ?

viewty picture seen on laptop are somwhere in the middle between n95 and g600,better then nokia wors then g600 it's just sensitive for settings but video recording in avi format is the best at all,viewty beats all phones in european market in quality of videos,battery life 3days average,2days when u play,4days when u busy

no problem. as I'm sure I would want others to answer my questions myself. I also agree with LGOwner, i really like this phone even with its flaws. The design of the phone was too much to give up in my opinion. and most people say the battery is bad and that it lacks Wi-fi, but if Viewty DID have wi-fi, the battery life would just be dead ridiculous
