Umm.... yes it does... Open your eyes Phil!!! ;)

guys, i've already got a samsung u600 out on contract with 11 months to go and i just couldnt help myself.. I went and took out LG Viewty on £35 p/month with o2 for 18 months.. Can someone who has the phonemore than 2 months give maybe a log of user experience, How easy to get used to touch? How long to get used to txting? is the sound quality good? Any lagging, freezing up? How long for camera start-up and time between shots? And what was your last phone?

ECbomb & LGOwner - thanks for your speedy replies - I'm relieved it's not just my handset, as 3 are notorious for cancelling your 14 day cooling off period as soon as you dare to switch your new phone on, lol!

Apparently, there's going to be a firmware upgrade soon to hopefully fix the camera problems, so I'll keep everything crossed :)

Still absolutely love this phone though - although have to admit that I would have gone for the iPhone, had it been a 3g handset ;)

To Vic:~probably it's the same with all Viewty's and i totally agree with ECBomb.Pictures don't look too bad on phones screen but when i loaded on my pc-horrible.Lighting,colours,noise-it's just not right. My SEk750(2mp) was taking better pictures.I just don't understand people who say that photos made with Viewty are amazing and best in 5mp phone range?
I guess that is the main reason why they don't sell tv out cable-pictures would look absolutely ugly on big tv screen :).
The way i look at it,-it's a phone and with a very nice touches,i still like it even with some flaws.

              Rating : 4/6
              PROS : 5mp camera,Unique/stylish design,
clear music, big background, not so easy to be scratched.
CONS : Insensitive touchscreen, badly positioned stylus, not very user friendly,
lag when my music is pressed, battery life.

I think this phone is not better than my previous phone N76(nokia). it only supports up to 4gb memory card i think. and the buttons are not very well placed.not very convenient for frequent texters.i like the design. but i dont like the way they made this phone. not very good.like some other nokia phones. battery life, when it reaches two bars, it wont last longer than 4 hours.
the volume is not very loud too. difficult to scroll. lots of problems. but well. its a different kind of phone so i kind of like it.

Got one last week. Very impressed with the gadget and gadgetry. Camera delivers and holds no punches. Interface user friendly and fast.

Pity about the TV out cable (optional extra). A bit wary of the battery life. Thank goodness it charges via USB cable also. Found PC Synch software cumbersome and slow. Maybe an upgrade will catch up with current trends.

Overall, worthwhile and a major statement from LG. There a new sheriff in town.

Guys, I said I had a K800 and that other SE that had touchscreen's. Like my old phone like the P900 or the P910. just the screen touchsreen seemed higher quality. Anyways i like the LG more and more each day...BUT I played with the iPhone and if the iphone had 5mp it would be the best phone for me, but it don't so it's not for me. The iphone's touchsreen and the phone works alot faster...then anything else i seen,,,see for urselves

                    Strolley:

i think if u ask anyone in this Viewty page, they will tell u that u made the right decision ;) hahaha

                    Vic:

I believe this is a general camera problem. For my phone, it takes bad pictures in poor light quality and the 120 fps video looks terrible in dark environments as well, not to mention the flash is quite useless. I have heard that SE's 3.2 MP camera phones take better pics than most of the 5 MP on the market, so im not sure if Viewty is the only one having problems here. My guess is that N82 and K850 have the same problem where people complain that the quality difference between the 3.2 and 5.1 are barely noticable. hope that helps.

Does anyone have problems with their camera? At 5.1 megapixels, I thought it would be amazing, but the K800i takes better photos than my Viewty - wondering whether to contact 3 about it.. nothing like the photos on the tv advert at all, terrible in poor light, flash turns the pics blue, motion pictures are terrible... just me, or a general problem?

Hi, you can add more data to one name in your Viewty address book. Have you got the phone displaying SIM contents? That might be why you only have one number. If you change the address book setting (in Contact Settings / Difplay Data) to handset, you can add tons of stuff to one name.
There's a plus sign ("+") after certain fields, i.e. telephone number, so you can add further numbers. Pw

Nice telephone really a beauty (viewty). My only regret is i cannot add more telephone numbers and other datas in one name of a person. Other than that i am satisfied.

I'm looking to get a new phone the next week and I've spent now 2-3 days reading various reviews on LG Viewty and SE k850. So far being a loyal SE user (F500, K800) I'm fatalistically pissed off of the standart SE menu. Though when comparing to LG I believe SE is far more reliable mobile phones brand. In terms of design, functionality and hi-tech point of view seems like Viewty is far ahead of k850. The only thing that makes me worried about Viewty is the battery life... Will the current happy possessors of LG email me the realistic battery life when used intensively AND normally? Thanks

                                      To Unkown,

Yes, the music manager will find all mp3 stored in the sound directories, whatever deep, in main memory and in external memory,
and display them as if they were in one directory. If you select "Music", then "Artists" (or "Albums"...), Viewty allows you to "update the list",
meaning it will search information in all the mp3 to build a database (can take some time).
Once this is done, for each album you can see all the tracks; you can see tracks by authors, by music categories.

Concerning art covers, I dont know. They are not displayed in my case:
                                      - first, my mp3 files do not contain the image tag information,
                                      - second, I have a locked phone without the Internet plan, so the player won't go to Internet to fetch art covers

Conerning the locked phone, I expected to unlock it and go free to install, configure what I want... It will be diffcult, if ever possible, since I discovered LG is not good in the software area, and there is no customer support: you cannot download firmware, no applications; their web sites keep playing flash, playing flash...
and, if their server does not crash, you find nothing to download. Imagine they are selling the Viewty with a Contents manager of 2003, that is crashing with access violation... Indeed, they are little guys. We, on this site, are doing their job!!

I would be happy to learn that I am wrong, meaning there are solutions, but they are only hard to find.
