Stanby screen > menu > setting > phone setting > connectivity > Network Setting > Select network > manual...then select ur service provider, after u have ur network back then set the setting back to automatic...

i have a problem . every time that i go to the park or to a school or even my house it says EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY my mom freaks out when she trys to call me because i dont get calls when it says that...PLEASE HELP

yap!! i used this fone for 7mons laready and its so nice to say that this phone is great in terms of camera, a 5mp is enoughe to captured pic. and the texting is easy although this phone is touchscreen. the touch screen is very responsive. the only negative is ku990 viewty dont have wifi, its only 3g for the connection porpuses. but overall this viewty is so great!

What country are you in? here in my place everything is fine contrary to your negative experience from this phone. My software version is KU990R_V10j.

Bought this phone cause the specs sounded nice - mp3, good gamera, large screen etc, and the demo ads from LG look really sharp. The touch screen also worked well in the store. But there it ends. Now that I have had it for a while, I question if any of the LG engineers have ever used the phone in real life situations. Some examples:
- to turn the loudspeaker mode on during a call you first have to put the call on hold, otherwise the button is not available.
- if you call a number and an answering machine asks you to "push 1 for this, push 2 for that "etc you want to bring up the keyboard, but the screen is locked, the lock comes on in about 5 seconds. So you unlock w the button on the side, punch the keyboard symbol.. and by then you have missed most of the message. And you can't listen to the message and punch buttons at the same time, cause you can't turn the loudspeaker on... aaagggghh.
- you dial the number again, and now you know what to do, but by the time you get to your choise in the menu, the keyboard is locked again.
- have tried to find a way to adjust the keyboard lock time and cant find one.
- tried to use the phone as a timer, but it only has 4 preset times.
- tried to use it as a stop watch - that function is missing entirely. My 7 year old Ericsson w a monochrome 4 line display has much better timer functions.
- if you for example set the alarm clock and don't close the function it is still there the next day when you unlock the screen.
- missing basic functions, inconsitencies etc ... simply irritating to use. No sw upgrades available.
The camera takes good pictures and can take 120 frames a second in video mode, but if I really needed that I would buy a video camera.

Hey, this phone is pretty cool as i use it as a modem, but recently when i accessed the browser on the phone itself, the browser was minimized. its quite annoying coz i cant ready any of the text on the screen. and when i try to zoom in or out, the zoomed text just gets smaller.
any ideas?

Hello,
I have quite a serious question about this phone. I keep missing texts and phone calls because my phone does not vibrate when I recieve them. Is there anyway of getting a Vibration mode on this phone, or does it actually not have one???

I don't think I'll find a substitute for it at the moment, but I'm sure better phones will be launched soon.

i had this phone for about 2 years and it was a good phone. for about a week, the ui is rubbish the buttons at the bottom broke within 2 months. i would not ever recommend this phone to anyone! worst phone ever!

when u i switch on the camera of ma cell phone , then i go to 120fps option n start to video something .Then the screen turns black but not completely though its videoing . I CANT FIND A SOLUTION coz i dont want to video something dark with a 5 mp camera.So i want to know whether there is any defect on th phone i m using or i made any error in the settings.So anyone pls give me a proper solution!!!!!
