I love this phone :3
Altough it's not a strong phone. It's broken easily. But i love the way the phone works and how it looks. The internet is very nice. The photos are of good quality.

why is some of my mp3 can't be found even tho i already copy it to my memory card? i already copying it dozen times but still the same? could someone please help me solve this problem?

Can someone tell me something about the GPS features with KU990???PLS. How can I activate GPS? I need a separate receiver, I am traveling so much....THANK YOU

love this phone, id choose this phone over the iphone any day, , love the wayt he keys are easy to type and easy to manuver in the phone.

jay, 02 Dec 2008hi infinite. for a txter, i would recommend kf700. in fact,... morehm... true, kf700 is so much newer. however my mum loves the 5mp, but i dont think i will take so many pictures with it since i alr have a camera. im just a frequent text-er, so maybe kf700 suits me better. oh, and if you "close" the slider, it looks like iphone too! [somehow...] but black is too common, nvm, i shall get kf700 then.

Is it possible to listen to the radio via the handset speaker? According to the manual, it is not. But is there any way you can tweak it? :-)

infinite, 01 Dec 2008hello :D im considering between kf700 and this phone. so ca... morehi infinite. for a txter, i would recommend kf700. in fact, i wish i could exchange my viewty with kf700... :-(
1. i txt a lot and this soft key pad doesnt do me at all. maybe it's a matter of getting used it, but...
2. 5mp photos? viewty can only take 2gb micro sd, so i wont be taking a lot of pics in 5mp anyway. in fact, 2mp/3mp is just fine for me.
3. will i be shooting/watching videos on my viewty? not really. again, memory isnt great enough to save all the movies i wanna watch. and i've got a video cam.
4. viewty was released more than a year ago. kf700 is a later model. so, one would expect some improvements in kf700, wouldnt you?
5. impossible to customise shortcuts. kf700 got a jog with personlised shortcuts.
6. keypad/board takes up more than half the screen, you can only view 3 lines of txt you are typing. on kf700, most of the screen is used for txt itself as you have a separate key pad.
7. memory not enough (only up to 2gb).
8. camera lens at the back gets in the way while holding the phone or whatever. getting paranoid of damaging it.
9. your mates will constantly compare viewty to iphone, although they might agree viewty is better in many ways.
i havent 'used' kf700 myself, so i cant tell how well it performs, but for the reasons i mentioned above, i would go for kf700 than viewty. it's got the traditional key pad and yet the touch screen. but i must say that for someone who likes taking high quality pics and videos and doesnt txt a lot, viewty might be good choice. but still i wanna swap my viewty with kf700! agrrr....

Hi I need help. Just got my LG Viewty today.
Please help me, how do we customize the message aler tone? Why does it only go for 3 seconds and then die?
Please help how to make it play a whole mp3 song whenever I receive messages.

Great Phone - Wife loves the touch screen and the alpha keyboard. ??? The Calender entry is limited to 100. Does any one know how to increase that. I have 2GB micro card but cant use it (?) for this purpose.

hi guys, i finally got my viewty! initially i was gonna get kf700, the one with a hard key pad as i'm a heavy txter, but when i compared these two at the shop, the screen and the picture on viewty looked better than kf700, so i went for viewty (and it was on sale. i.e. both priced the same).
i have used nokia, samsung d820 and z400 in the past, but i must say that the file loading speed of viewty seems a bit slower. i put in only 1gb micro sd (well, sometimes it takes over 30 secs to load a picture. really frustrating!). has anyone experienced any lagging problems? or is it my phone? :-(
and i'm not greatly happy with the way the files from micro sd are accessed. all picutres both from internal and external are put into one picture folder although there's still a separate external memory card folder. i rather have two independent folders. or maybe i havent set up my phone properly?! if so, help me!
as for external memory size, i have asked LG whether i could still use 4gb despite 2gb recommended, they said "it will either not register or will only allow you to use 2 of the 4gb". so, i suppose i will have to resort to 2gb then.
now, about the camera. this would be the thing i am definitely happy with! although pictures might appear as if a white balabce is set a bit too high, geeeeee, i cant really complain about the camera (but remember this is a phone, not a digi cam!). and i was blown away by the quality of video! simply AWESOME!
having said that all, for my next phone, i think i would go back to samsung. i just like the features and how things are accessed in samsung. user friendly! AND i think i need a hard key pad... cheers!

Phone Settings - Connectivity - USB connection - Mass storage. connect your mobile to a PC by USB cable and then just copy/paste music, images, videos to a folder
