Just ordered a Nexus 4 from Google play last Thursday. No contract, no problems. Should arrive this Thursday. Getting the 16GB version, cost $350. If you're in the market for a new contract, you're better off getting a different phone, ie. IPhone 5. If you're just upgrading, or replacing your phone, IMO Nexus 4 price is very attractive, and a very good value for your money.

Hi...there...can any nexus 4 owner...help me out here? I have a query on the battery life....
On an average this could be my usage on a daily basis..
                                  Web browsing = 1 hour
                                  Watching video = 1 hour
                                  Casual gaming = 1 hour
                                  Capturing 2 to 3 photos
                                  3G always ON...GPS & WIFi OFF

with this usage how much do you thing the phone can last starting with full charge?

How long does it take recharge the battery fully?

                                  Thanks in advance

I have three phones in my list of possibilities. The Nexus 4, the LG L9, and the Samsung Galaxy Relay 4G. Judging from what I've seen on xda-developers, it would seem that the Nexus 4 is the way to go.

I have a Sidekick 4G right now. At that time, I was expecting Samsung to give it the treatment that it gave its Galaxy phones. Big mistake. Samsung took T-Mobile's top selling franchise and basically made into something mediocre.

Now. here comes the Galaxy Relay with another qwerty keyboard. Not surprisingly, Samsung is once again underplaying this device in favor of its more popular Galaxy III. I don't blame them. It just won an award for best smartphone so it's their baby. Over at xda, the Relay doesn't even have its own forum.

So I lookd at the LG L9 as another option. Now the issue with this phone is the bootloader. It seems that LG has it locked up pretty tightly. Rumor has it that it's been unlocked but I see no kind of activity yet as far as custom ROMS go. Perhaps it's too soon?

I'm tired of taking chances, though. It may be time to go for the pure Google experience. The best is that it has zero carrier bloatware so no need to root...unless of course you want to install CyanogenMod or use apps that require root access.

Not being able to use my 8 GB microSD card is ashame but I'm willing to make that sacrifice for a good phone with the expectation of definite updates arriving without excuses of incompatibility.
