himansh, 12 Nov 2012with no hard feelings man (LG-never)...but do u even know w... moreGoogle's software support is good but not at all.
Actually it is area/land/country depended and you will not download software updates from Google, it is from LG.
Just like other Nexus models HTC and Samsung.
The best opportunities of Nexus devices are pure android and Google patches problems very frequently but which means not you'll have device support from Google.

Do not take my responses as offensive, I just warn people about LG phones.
I know build quality is descent but it is not enough.

well the only con is the storage space if you are living in a 4g less area. Im pretty happy about this phone and looking forward to buy this. I love the nexus series and the android os! u'll get a bunch of mods and development from the guys at xda.

for all who are thinking 16 gb is enough, guys u should accept the fact that u are living in the year 2013!! not in the 90. Now more space = more movies + more songs + more pics + more videos + more fun! now each hd game takes 1-2 GB space. so will need huge storage space. I happy we can connect pendrives and ext hdds to our android phones!! thanks to google and thanks to the guys at android!!

this phone is amazing (untill the new a15 phone is out)

I have one biiig question about the on screen / virtual buttons: how do you edit them?? The screen is 15:9 aspect ratio and with the on screen buttons on it the aspect becomes 14:9, and the thing is that I HATE black bars, and I don't want apps to run with black bars, and also many apps are HD (1280*720) so having an app running in 1196*672 (that's the 16:9 resolution the app is going to take in the remaining area) will make it become blurry(not working in native resolution).

But then it hit me: the phone has 48 pixels on the side beside the HD screen. What if I could place those virtual buttons in that place, cause many of the apps that I have mentioned work in landscape mode. But the problem is that I've seen that on the Galaxy Nexus the buttons stay in the same place, they just rotate the orientation. But on the Nexus 7, the virtual buttons rotate with the image and app.

So, is it possible to make the virtual buttons move to the long part of the phone / the 48*1280 part when in landscape mode like it happens on the Nexus 7 ( the buttons always remain on the bottom of the screen, even when rotate ) in some way?? And I know about the option to remove them at all, but then android becomes tricky..

8 and 16 GB of internal memory with no option to extend it? What the hack is wrong with the smartphone devs these days? I have over 20 GB of flacs on my old Xperia Arc + another 5 GB worth of Rom kits, free apps and backups and I've yet to see a new phone worth to update to, except for Iphones, which I don't like. All of them that would otherwise interest me seem to share the same poor design in which an SD card is not an worthy option. I mean you can take pretty nice movies at 1080p@30 fps, you have a very nice sound card in them so you could successfully use your smarthphone as a music player, not to say about a navigation program with full world maps, but you can't really use any of these features properly because there is not enough space (I really wonder if you can use more than 5.5 GB on that 8 GB version). I'm totally intrigued and speechless...

With the Nexus 4, 16Gb of internal storage is more than enough when you consider that you can get a sim with unlimited data which will enable you to stream all you want from the cloud. Google+ will support libraries of 20,000 songs (launching in the UK this week), and with Google services either free or a fraction of the cost of Apple for additional storage, this phone makes more sense than ever before. Google see that Cloud storage is the way for the future and this phone is a future phone.

The Nexus is and has never been about entertainment and recording HD movies etc., it is all about connectivity and development, latest OS updates from Google and owning the bleeding edge of Google.

I will be ditching my 64Gb iPhone 4S and buying the 16Gb Nexus 4 with an unlimited 1 month rolling contract; help pave the way for the future and go for it people!

Nikky, 12 Nov 2012Please someone help me!! I really want to know more about t... moreFirstly i would check out alot of review websites before buying the phone, from what i've read i understand that although lacking certain features such as: no expandable memory only 16/8 gb, no removable battery, no LTE but this is all on preference. For what the phone is worth you are really getting what you pay for and massive deal on the phone e.g. great connectivity, good battery life, good internet e.t.c. i am currently deciding between Xperia S, LG optimus 4x and nexus 4. I am going for the nexus 4 because of the updates making it more future proof than the others.

I hope Google will support its phone rather than LG.
If LG does, you'll get only an LG phone with a lot of problems.
