You might try a 3rd party build from Cyanogenmod, which is built from the same open-source codebase as Android Marshmallow. I'd warn about voiding your warranty, but with a device as old as this it's most likely expired by now anyway.

Good phone.used it for 3 years.screen got broken was recently replaced but I forgot the password so I have not be able to gain assess in to the phone.Could I get any relevant advice on how to assess my phone.it's LG E960 nexus 4.Thanks

please downgrade ur OS versions to 5.1 or 5.0. it is the best supporting OS for this model.

Google nexus4 performance is really awesome but the biggest concern is its battry backup , its very bad in backup..even o updatedtp Android6.0 , Cynogenmod13 , and i haveorderd a new battery alos, jas anybody here replaced the nexus battry and got good backup plz help b giving your views...those who is getting issue in updating to cm12.1 /13 just whatsapp me on 7058615455/ or 7507936758 , will guide u easy method of updating

my nexus 4 is 3 years old and now suddenly it has got a strange problem. the phones shuts of even when it has 40% battery then it does not turn on. need to charge it for over an hour to just start it. then the same thing happens after 3-4 days. should i change the battery or the phone as a whole. does any one have the same problem
