Oh yeah, the Serial No. in question is the one on the BOX, not the phone.
It is there for retailers to arrange their stock in order (i.e. sell oldest number first).

e.g. Serial No. beginning with 310K
The 3 is the last digit of the year it was manufactured, and the 10 is the month.
Therefore, a Serial No. beginning with 310K means that the phone was manufactured in October 2013
402K would mean February 2014 etc.

Can anyone tell me exactly what is all about the 310k 311k and 312k? because i heard that it's about some other versions of this phone with grill issue done and the buttons issue too.. then i saw about 401 402 and 403 serial, and someone wrote on a blog that the first digit is the year( 3=2013, 4=2014). Still there are people who says that their S/N start with any number but 3 or 4( something like 0505 ), and it would be even better to give me some sites for documenting, sites from google or something with all the nexus 5 story and all its version and issues.

My Nexus 5 seems to have developed 2 issues
1) A tinny sound in the background on voice calls when using the ear speaker but when I switch to speaker phone the call is clear but when you get back to using the ear speaker its back again.
2) A WiFi issue, when you factory reset the phone then scan for the router.
The routers name does not show among the list available. The name only shows if you switch air plane mode on then off then my router name shows and can be added this is very odd.
Anyone with experience of either or both of these problems please advise.
The phone is on Android 4.4.4 and I did not have these problems when on Android 4.4.3.
I bought the phone from CEX who I am taking it back to on Monday.
