Freefaller, 29 Oct 2016I don't understand this obsession with OS upgrades. Let's s... morePersonnally, i'd upgrade my current phone to another one for newer features ! and i'd never change it for design and outlook,as i said i only look for features and you already know google's strategy concerning the exclusive features for newer flagships.
i don't believe in changing a handset with the same handset just to spend my money to no avail, because it's newer,so, it'd be better or because the whole world buy it.
why would you even compare phones to cars?
multi window tasking,3D touch,or google assistant isn't wingy mirrors
i'd prefer an old classic car above a newer car !
          for phones,another story is told.
you just can't compare for example nexus 5 with nexus 6p.

RAR, 07 Sep 2016Best phone I ever owned! LG definitely went all out to prod... moreThe new IPhone 7 is a cheapened phone designed to compete with cheap Android phones that sell for $400 and under, but at the same time hoping people will still pay a premium for the Apple name. It has terrible specs, most of them worse than the Nexus 5. And why does this world need Apple Pay unless the fees are lower than PayPal when we already have so many payment systems? On the other hand needless to say I don't think the iPhone 7 Plus is worth over $1000 either. The prices of flagship models keep climbing, but there's more and more cheap Android devices available. I also refuse to buy a Pixel. All I had wanted was a plastic Nexus 5x like device perhaps with slightly better specs, like the same size screen and specs as the Nexus 5 but with AMOLED. But instead they had moved the cheaper model upmarket with its metal and glass construction, its fingerprint reader, its camera, its new processor, and forcing me to buy 32 GB of storage instead of 16 GB plus a card option (after also leaving it out of the Nexus 5 three years ago), which is all I need. Sorry Google. There's too many models available under $500 that offer all I need.

Thanks Google. Planned obsolescence, trying to have my buy a new phone sooner.

I don't understand this obsession with OS upgrades. Let's say that your phone is a car. You have had it for about a year and it works fine the way it is and gets you where you want. Then the car manufacturer brings out a new model. It is exactly the same as the one you already have except that it has different wing mirrors. Would you want to change the car that works perfectly well for a model with different mirrors. Of course you wouldn't. If your phone works perfectly well and does everything you want then why would want a new OS which, reading other tech sites, has a few problems with calls, bluetooth, camera flash etc.

This is what happens when you install a 'cooked' ROM. A new battery won't help, the same thing will happen again.

If it doesn't work properly then you are the fool for buying it.

I bought my LG Nexus 5 from Jan 2014 and use it until now. I changed battery one time (by myself) and after that phone becomes like new. I many times wanted to buy new phone but after compare with my Nexus, I refused to buy new one since my phone is such good and nothing wrong.
