I'm using Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 to back up my Pixel 3 and Essential Phone. Loving it so far. Battery is weak but it charges really fast with my huge power bank and it doesn't eat much from it.
Kiwi Browser is very smooth especially if you watch YouTube instead of its own app. Got the Nexus 5 for only $30 and condition is 9.5 excellent. I now understand the love for both after all these years.

My son bought this for me for Christmas the year it came out! Loved it. He then upgraded to another phone for me about three years ago and it died. I of course had the Nexus as backup and I am using it now until we figure out the next plan. The only issues that I am having is like many of you stated, the battery doesn't hold a charge for too long but I'm okay with plugging it in a few times a day!

This has been my ultimate back up phone, still runs perfectly, battery is tired now and the plastic body is starting to go, starting to get cracks near the volume and power button from getting bent and the rubber coating has gone sticky and coming off, but has been the phone to survive the longest.

Mine still in shape, i even play heartstone daily on it, from 2013 to 2020 such a beast, obviusly batery is tired (last half day), and usb port is loose a bit.. the only problem i had was the camera error once every 2 months, that force you to restart the phone, other than that basically 7 years of daily use recently bought xiaomi mi note 10 lite, time to give n5 a well deserved rest!

I dunno how this phone's cam beats my other phone's 23mp cam, pictures from n5 shows the pores and tiny sweats from the face when you zoom the pics, unlike the 23mp phone that's all sharp and pixelated already when you zoom in

Awesome phone. Bought in 2014. 2020 and still using it (as 2nd phone since last month). Battery still last a day in standby mode. Got intermittent issue in camera. Sometimes unable to start the camera and have to restart the phone to re-enable it.
I love the big app icon design without boundary (like they applied in Pixel). They look very nice.

If you are intressed in hacking then you can install Pwn-Phone ROM or Kali Nethunter so you can hack with your phone.

#2 way turn off your device and press power button with volume down button together , set Recovery mode ,then chose factory data , will be take 60 min at least
Or , go to youtube step by step , have a nice day

My girlfriend uses my old Nexus 5 and I was surprised to find the other day that it can get a 4G signal. Don't think we had 4G in 2013.

People are still looking for batteries or for modded increased batteries to keep their phone alive.

Had this phone for so long I can't remember, 4 or 5 years I guess. Never a single problem except for the occasional buggy apps I added and then quickly removed when the phone acted up. The battery is still good, had it on standby for three days still 34 percent remaining this morning! I know it won't last forever but it behaves as though it will. It will be a sad day when it finally passes on :-( and I hope I can find a similar replacement.

Unbelievable how so many users still using nexus 5 in 2020, I got mine replaced 3 years back.. Nexus 5 was a beast for sure but widt poor battery. I got 2 hours sot max. But it was the best phone for rooting and adding modded os.. still the king of good times..

I've had one of these in the past - and am seriously considering firing it up again. Awesome camera - my only criticism, would be the screen goes 100% dark when viewing in landscape mode - if you're wearing polaroid glasses.

Grabbed one of these out of the e-waste bin at our office building. Was still on Android 5. Got it updated to 6.0.1 and battery life felt like it improved. Working great with wireless and wired chargers. Decent speed, still quite responsive. Nice size for smaller hands.
