"Platform OS Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), upgradable to 6.0 (Marshmallow)"

LOL
Correct your specification because it looks really funny.

Got mine at in late 2014 and was my daily driver for about 2 1/2 years. Really good specs at a an unbeatable price of 350$/€ (back then when Google sold devices for making Android popular rather than earning money or prestige).

Really loved the display and it has a pretty good camera that still can keep up with current mid-range devices, I still think it captures image details better than my current Moto G5 Plus and features more vivid colors.

Never had any complaints about performance (Snapdragon 800 series plus 2 GB RAM are still decent hard), only battery life was a bit of an issue, never getting more than 1 1/2 days with medium usage and hardly hitting 24 hours as a worn out device now.

I also like the size which is just perfect, not sure why people were too picky about the plastic body, the white back kept up very well and it is pretty light compared to my Moto but still feels solid.

Got two major updates from Google (Kitkat to Marshmallow), sadly its support has been discontinued because Android 7/8 would have helped with performance and battery consumption for sure. Maybe there's some ports but after the geeky days I prefer stable builds over features...

I love mine... does everything I want. I have no problem with battery lasting all day. That said, I keep all unnecessary radios turned off (WiFi, data) & when I put it on the charger at night I usually have 60-70% battery left. There are times when I'd like a memory card slot but I get along fine without it.I mostly use WiFi File Transfer to get stuff to/from it which suffices. I bought mine used a while back from someone who took great care of it. Previous to that I had one on loan from my workplace for a few months which got me hooked.

I purchased my replacement battery from eBay. It is an easy job and takes about ten minutes to replace.

4 years and still phone is perfect in every scenario! Except from battery aging issue there is no other problem. Technically snapdragon 800 is outdated for newer OSs but still using the latest software and security patch with as smooth running as ever.Amazing great Display!
              Totally loved it!

My WiFi stopped working as well but surprisingly baking the motherboard wrapped in foil for 8 minutes @ 200 Celcius (approximately 400 Fahrenheit) and it actually fixed the WiFi issue!

I was really happy with mine. Battery was clearly dying and just after 4 years of use wifi stopped working.
Motherboard needs to be replaced plus the battery (costs like 250$), I am really upset but I guess not many phones reach this age anyways.I will test it using mobile data just to see how much the rest is affected.

Great phone but crashed after 4 years.

Had this magnificent phone but it was slowly dying on me, random restarts and the phone got really hotm unbearable hot and shat down.
I managed to buy a oneplus 5 in september but i think it wasn't a worthy upgrade. But when oneplus 5T launched, i saw the resemblance on the front design, on screen buttons...
I purchased it right away and gave my oneplus 5 to my wife.
What i mean is, if you're trying to upgrade, don't go further, go with the oneplus 5T. That's the only worthy upgrade from my beloved nexus 5. Been happy ever since.

Even the Oreo custom rom runs smoothly.

Maybe will change the battery and see whether I get any difference.

I´ve been using this phone over 3,5 years now. Just like the perpetum mobile, goes on on and on... Bought it brand new, rooted it, but never installed any cooked ROMs. Still on 4.4.4 which I think, the best one for Nex5. The screen cracked, but both, the LCD and the digitizer work fine. I really like the grip, better than the metal unibody. Never had to repair or replace anything. The battery is maybe the only con. Need a charger at home, in the car and at the job. I´ll send this device to retirement to my old htc Trinity and Diamond, because the new guy is already in town. I was very satisfied with this handheld.
