Almost 4 years using this device. The performance slow down, very lagging when lot of background data processing. Battery performance become worse, need a replacement. Power button already broken that cause auto shutdown and bootloop, already replace 2 years ago and after few years it sink back, but still can be used. Overall I love this phone for the performance, but nothing last forever. Planning on getting pixel 2/ 2 xl when pixel 3 release, waiting price down.

Sold my Nexus 5 and purchased an used Nexus 6. Needed an upgrade but wanted to stay in Nexus line.
Love the design of both the phones.

Never had a cracked screen. But only dropped a few times on quick reflex foot.
Camera was always shit at night, slow, crashed after a few years, even with updates. Only this week has started to really slow down. Had to restart a few times. Power button broken. Constantly opening up into camera. Case got dirty I had it so long, had to buy new. Also new screen protector.
OS is a little slow these days.

Overall, would literally buy another right now. Does everything phones these days do with 6 yo tech.

Running smooth & Fast with 7.1.2 (Rooted / Custom Rom). Had replaced battery few months back.
Only issue - Rear camera is defective (Shoots blurry image for long distance)

Overall -> Awesome phone with low battery backup

Generally good phone. Battery life destroyed by system and app updates.
Google maps just devours battery and it's slower than it used to be.
Camera is slow and it's easy to take blurry photos. Sometimes camera app crashes so badly, I have to restart phone.
Phone size and screen are great.

I've had this phone from September 2014 and it still works fine apart from some issues I had with the power button which got stuck and kept turning the phone off constantly. Other malfunctions mainly were the camera app and the overheating of the phone during charging. The phone itself has endured quite alot - humidity, dropping, throwing and other wear-and-tear, but it holds strong. The specs were very good at the time of purchase and the camera still does very quality photos quality-wise. This is the longest time I had used a single phone - from 09/2014 - 08/2018 or almost four years.

This LG NEXUS 5 phone has a non removable (2300 maH) battery. How does it hold the charge after so long? KitKat? (Marshmallow is available). A very old phone but with high specs from 2013 is offered on Craigslist for $50. Is this a good price? Posted 8/11/18

i bought this phone on december 2013 from Japan, it replaced my Samsung Galaxy S ii, it is still alive till now and working flawlessly. I cant imagine a mobile who lived such an age.
nowadays, i am considering a new google pixel which can be as nearly durable as this great mobile.

This device had android 4.4 kitkat initially

                              I love my Nexus 5.

Got it in December 2013, and it was the first smartphone I had that really felt like "mine." Coming from an iPhone 4 then iPhone 5, they both really felt so restricted and that I could only do with them what Apple wanted me to.

I used my Nexus 5 full-time until July 2016 when I bought its natural successor, the Nexus 5X. I was happy with my Nexus 5X until it fell victim to the apparently-common bootloop hardware fault while I was on holiday and I bought some Huawei rubbish to replace it on short notice.

I've ditched the Huawei and am back to running my Nexus 5, resurrected from the junk drawer that it never deserved to be in. I've ordered a new battery for it, but that's the only thing as far as I can tell that's degraded at all since new. I'm running Android 7.1 courtesy of LineageOS and it's perfect. Still as snappy as it ever was. It even works with contactless Google Pay, which was years away (in Australia at least) at the time the phone was launched.

The only thing I miss is the fingerprint reader, but I can live without that for a while. I suppose it's too much to hope for that Google will go back to great hardware for a reasonable price any time soon?

mADHU, 23 May 2018this phone is support 4g LTE Yes

great phone, father of nexus series, no bugs no any other issues in this phone, i am using from 2013. now going to upgrade with google pixel

In India, this phone is known as the iPhony 5X, and instead of running Android Marshmellow, it runs iOS 8.

Nexus 5 had KitKat as it's stock, not Ice Cream Sandwich.
