why is lg frustrating the customers so much with this whole update thing!!!! just release it all over the world.......they need to know that its not somethg very exclusive which they are offering!!...its the last in the league to offer 2.3.....!
Such a superb peice of hardware but no one in LG to take care of its pride....!!

unlucky 2x, 10 Nov 2011After reading some comments i hav a doubt on official ginge... moreI tested both.Official 2.3 has a gps issue and less free ram but everything else is ok,but again not close to gs2 ui and browser smoothness.Cyanogen is ok if you bypass some issues of contacts and gmail sync but it has different drivers of those cheap ones lg ported on it,also you have great abilities like bluetooth mouse,keabord,controller for a nice surfing ang emulator gaming solution on hdmi screens,you choose.I shall wait for a fix or maybe ice cream from lg or Cyanigen.

After reading some comments i hav a doubt on official gingerbread of 2x i mean shud i upgrade it with the official gb given by lg or upgrade it with cynogenmod... pls help...!!!

CM7CM7 guys! Forget the LG stock ROM even if its GB. I ran the Quadrant benchmark test with CM7 and it scored 3017! With the old Froyo it used gave me 2471 or thereabouts....

Don't count on any update...I updated and usedheto official lg's 2.3.4 and the browser lags again on flash sites,the gps now does not work and the free memory is lower than 150 mb with all apps closed...Why did I do the mistake to go for this piece of junk?I want to see lg go down,lower than cheep replica manufactures...I want to throw my phone any volunteer to catch it?Beware,I think it is cursed...

The unlocked phones are having the 2.3.4 already. only the ones from Vodafone and other carriers will get it later this month becuase those versions of android will need to get branded for each carrier.

Have this phone for a while.. well.. it's great phone, but i am disapointed in few things which could change my mind if I would choose again.. Battery life is damn curse of this phone.. weak back panel, it felt from a height of chair and i have crack on camera shield.. for this price those bastards could at least make it more solid. They promised me 8gig internal memory with 512 ram, I just downloaded mobo task killer , it says i've got 5.5gig space and 372 ram -WTF!?!?! i payed 500 euro for high end phone and i get medium range nokia ?!?! 2core processor, well maybe it's becouse i cant change my fckin OS from that damn crap 2.2 to something more optimised, but phone have got lags when i download more aps than 60, damn! it supose to be 2 core - WTF ?!?! I recon i would better get galxy S2

if your phone displays no new update
yet(the latest is gingerbread 2.3.4 v20L), it means it hasn't reached your country or carrier, sadly you have to wait for a while :(
or you can head over at xda and install the update(needs root and knowledge in custom roms though..)

s2, 08 Nov 2011brother s 2 is much better than 2x. like camera, speed, ram... moreI think you really are uninformed or lack of knowledge about the matter(android), there is no functions that are exclusive to samsung or lg, there are alot of replacement apps out there that make your statement invalid, only claim that s2 can brag from lg02x is the ram..
and based on the current existing apps at the moment, there is none that only the samsung s2 can run that the lg cant, and some of those apps the lgo2x runs it better :)

Could somebody say if most of the known issues have been fixed with the gingerbread 2.3 update? rebooting problem? how is the battery life now? call quality? lag? etc... I'm realy thinking to buy this phone but if it has the same problems then before(with foryo) i should go for Samsung, Htc or something else.
