Hey guys I have just updated my LG optimus 2x...gingerbread 2.3.4 and I am surprised about
battery backup "mind blasting...."so much better now.. I m so so happy with my LG optimus 2x after updating
Its butterly smooth...everything is wonderful...better than sgs 2 ...LG has got d balls to kick to other mobile manufacturers as they make best hardware for their mobiles...looking stylish nd fancy...after updating I have got good resolution for camera...now waiting for ICS ANDROID 4...lets see how O2x would give performance ?

no lcd is better than it.. except ifone4 n arc.... samoled is not a bigdeal... my frn has sgsII n i hav optimus 2x...... except thr handy and light n wow factor in physical topper.... inside its mch similar... most cmn processes feel same... camera is surely better.... optimus 2x fotos make my frnd sad.. audio not betterthan sgsII .... styling is jst wow... nt difficult at all to hndle.. but sgs2 much better to handle... if price matters.. camera matters... dnt go for sgs2..... else wise ur choice.. m jappy i dnt take sgs2 coz price bothers me . n camera too

Where the hell is the update to GB.I have this phone on free network and no update.Official date was on 01.11.2011, I'm right?

samsung fanboys, you can always say s2 is the best, but o2x is a cheap dual core android phone, in which there is nothing that the s2 can do, that the o2x cant do, even o2x has the exclusive tegra apps!!
and don't give me the excuse of using chainfail on your s2, some games like riptide GP just fails to play on that device with out tweaks from xda(E.G riptide GP with pixel shader turned off version) which kinda sucks, cause all the s2 users brag is its faster GPU

What Android you have? 2.2.2? what baseband? in general in order to solve this known issue you need to update to last version using LG SW update tool + download from Market an application called SoftLoacker and enable it

hi friends i bought this phone LG OPTIMUS 2X from U.K...i hav a problem with tht ...it suddenly shutdowns and thn i hav to remove battery and put it again.thn it will turn on.. i hav given it in LG showroom they told tht it is a MOTHERBOARD PROBLEM...CAN U PLS HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM?????

Can anyone suggest how to upgrade my LG Optimus 2X from Android 2.2 to 2.3?
When I am following the following path:
(Settings---->About Phone-->), I did not see anything like software upgrade there.
Please guide.

I think I might get this phone!
It's good to see it will get ICS (but I will probably load a custom rom anyway)

I tested it more on gingerbread and it has still little bugs.Lg's drivers in the kernel are obviously poor and inefficient...

Samsung fanboys, please stop saying Galaxy s2 is the best, sure it might be but its expensive like $700 from where i live. Or mayby everyone is rich and don't care about price. The optimus 2x is only $400 and its the cheapest dual core phone i've seen, or mayby phones in the U.S the phones are same prices because there are contracts.

yet ginger is still denied for some imeis(lg organization),for those they can do this that is safe,it does not delete anything and is official guessing from the v20l that is posted on xda
