OMG all of you still havent updated in the UK or europe?
I did post instructions here last month on how to update to 2.3.5 (to the OFFICIAL version). I have no idea about rooting or anything, i moved from an iphone and i did it using these instructions. Here they are:

Download the software updater there ^^ then install the drivers from there
Then try updating. If it doesnt work for any reason, follow the next steps.
Go here: http://www.lg-phones.org/lg-optimus-3d-android-2-3-5-gingerbread-v21a-download.html
and download the europe open v21a file .
Next go here: http://www.filesonic.com/file/2255759914/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip
and download that file, and unzip it. You dont need any other files apart from the 2 i gave above.
Then go here: http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-kdz-on-lg-optimus-3d.html
And follow the instructions there. Follow the pictures... they might make more sense (they're in order).
Its simple :P

Just wondering......has anyone in the UK, with an unlocked phone had the Gingerbread update yet?! I'm kinda fed up of checking and getting the message that I've got the up to date version (2.2.2). I wouldn`t mind if LG would just give a date and stick to it.

Optimus 3D is now getting New update in India through OTA ( On The Air). Connect your O3D to WiFi then go to setting - about Pone - Check Software update. It will upgrade instantly to V10D.It is not 2.3 But Now it is more speedy ,smooth and 3D game converter is added. Now Play angry Bird in 3D....

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2011The update sux. ...i expected more from gingerbread It is not the update that sucks, it is LG's software devision that can't custom gingerbread to match the hardware. If you use HTC software and see the finish it is way above. My 3d keeps crashing after update...hmm

Just upgraded my phone to Gingerbread using LG official website..It's awesome!! Official GB 2.3.5 V21A for UK

At my first try it got stuck and then said that there was no update available for my device. You just uninstall the update software and try reinstalling it and download the correct usb drivers for your device. Try changing country :)

Helloooooooo can any body respond to my question how do you setup the 3d phone on vibrate when its on silent mode mine does not do that went to orange and they were useless.they really offerd no help whats so ever..

Actually it's a really nice phone.....but there's a big problem.....That's the battery stand by time....In your specifications it says 9hrs, but sorry to say...When we use it for Internet, the battery power is going down....Could you pls give me a solution....Thanks..

Updated successfully my LG Optimus 3D to Gingerbread yesterday by following the instructions given in this link:

As there was still no OTA update for my country (Luxembourg) so I just gave this a try and it worked flawlessly. After downloading the files needed, my O3D was then updated in no more than 10 minutes. All my apps, contacts, messages were kept and everything is working properly so far :-)
