Still no 2.3 update for O3D(december 9!!!)... Tried to update through computer but LG Mobile Support Tool won't even install, just hangs at 3% and that was it... This is going on for almost a week now... Anyone has the same problem?

Yeah, me too, Same issue regarding calls
I have Korean version of O3D (which is su760) , I upgraded to 2.3.5 and one out of ten times when i call someone, screen hags up. Goes black and when i press unlock button just flashes for a sec. Or stays black.
Anyway to go back to froyo????

Has anyone who upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.5 has been missing out on calls? Me personally missed to many calls I had to go back to froyo, people calling me will ring from their end but nothing happens in my end. Battery history Does not work and the Handset freezez when it feels like it, once you loose Network you need to restart the phone, once I went back to froyo my phone started to work perfectly again, I am on 10D as any later than that causes the phone to restart randomly if you leave wifi on always. I have already sent the phone for repairs for the restart problem and I am sure that there was nothing wrong with the hardware it is just that LG software sux, Ginger Bread update is broken that is why there is still no OTA update yet.

Anyway the update isnt THAT great... same software... just a few minor improvements. I cant see the speed difference in the internet since normally in my areas i get 5mpbs max so having 14.4mbps to 21mbps doesnt really make a difference for me. The icons look a bit difference and the lock screen is different too. You can use the 3D button to take pictures too now, and convert 2D games into 3D which actually does work for some games if its like nova2 or racing games.
Unless you're a huge fan of 3D, taking pics, or using internet in areas that have high data speeds of 20mbps+, this update wont mean much... :|
Well, the ICS update looks like it'll be much better :) (better not to wait for LG to implement the update into the LG update tool... just update it yourself when they release the software without the tool) :D

If they still don't work, go to google.co.uk and type in "How to Flash .kdz on LG Optimus 3D lg-phones.org" and follow link on the first option. Next follow those instructions
For the .kdz file, go to google, and type in "lg optimus v21a download" and it will be the first link on the list. Go there and download the europe open V21A file.

If your update is to V21A (same as europe) then you can. I think it should work, but for that i'll give no guarantees (probably will work)

The OFFICIAL update to 2.3.5 was actually released early last month but for some reason they decided not to implement it into the lg update software for the PC... so you could have really gotten the official update weeks ago... the unofficial way. Here's how if you still havent:
This is NOT a root so dont worry - you will get the ICS update when it comes and this is really easy to follow.
Go to: http://www.lg-phones.org/lg-op...ownload.html
and download the europe open V21a file from the link there
And then follow all the instructions here: http://www.lg-phones.org/how-t...imus-3d.html
^^ When i updated, I didn't lose ANY data. I'm not sure why since from what i knew we are supposed to come with a clean phone running 2.3.5 but yay :) i dont need to restore all my apps now :)

Seriously... what a joke. Im a big fan of this phone (except for the random switch offs which LG have promised me this update will rectify) but LG need to pull their fingers out now. Dont set a date if they cant stick to it and dont release a handset with shoddy firmware. If i spent £400 on a tv and it switched itself off constantly im sure LG would jump to do sumat about that, but when phones are involved its a different story. And LG aint the only phone manufacturer who do this.. Nokia are just as bad, and samsung.. Why O why did i not get an iphone 4s???

just spoke to someone at lg, have been told yet another delay with the update, talk about frustrated, they said it should be a few more days and to keep trying, aarrrggghhhhhhhhh

I'm not sure why you cant open the links. Try using firefox on your computer or clear browser cache then try again. The links are still working, and as simonh said below your link, my instructions got him android 2.3.5 :)
