Mobilemaster, 22 Feb 2011You talked about the lifetime of Samoled, or about the Nova... morewow! Changing your phone every 3 years or less? You are very rich man!
Im contented with my nokia n70 classic. Been using this for 5 years without encountering any problem, the unit is intact. Its just perfect for me though it has no wifi. And replacing this with whichever high end smartphone is yet to cross my mind.
I know how to value my hard-earned money.
And having the best phone in the world doesn't change who you are.
Do you agree with me guys? ^_^

pH1, 22 Feb 2011yes the nova screen is great. gsmarena has a few comparison... moreYou talked about the lifetime of Samoled, or about the Nova display? Or both have the same 5 years of lifetime? Are you sure about this? By the way I will NEVER use a phone more than 3 years. I had more than 4 phones on the past, and I changed them almost every year. :D What do you think, the Samoled Plus is weaker than the Nova display or not? You talked about the Samoled screen, and NOT about the Samoled+...

Mobilemaster, 22 Feb 2011What do you think, which is the most better screen phone?? ... moreyes the nova screen is great. gsmarena has a few comparisons of that with the retina display and s amoled:
http://www.gsmarena.com/mwc_2011_lg-review-569p4.php
u can c that the nova has the best view angles and sometimes better display. the samsung s amoled display might hv a blue tint and if u zoom in on 1 of the pictures u can c that the blue displayed is greater than the display of the other colors. so while the nova displays white better, it displays blacks worse than the s amoled. nova is also brighter than s amoled. if i had to choose between these 2 phone i wud pick lg black. also what is often not mentioned is that the materials used in amoled degrade over time. i think there was a test that determined the lifetime is around 5 yrs at 8 hrs a day. however, its degradation is split over that time range. even tho u r likely to replace ur phone before the lifetime of the display, the display is constantly degrading. so when u do decide to replace ur phone, the display will be worse. the degree of degradation depends on the manufacturer. interestingly, the material used for the blue light degrades a lot faster than the material used for the other colors of light. i think samsung compensated for this in the picture in the link i posted above. either way, the amount of blue displayed is going to change over time. also the sub pixels r different sizes to account for the degradation of blue. another fact thats not mentioned is how efficient amoled is really compared to lcd. at displaying a mostly black image, its a lot more efficient. at displaying most images its still more efficient. however, u dont spend all day looking at photos on ur phone. oled uses 3x more power when displaying something that is mostly white. such as many web pages, or folders. the more white, the less efficient. so battery life can range a lot depending on what u view on the phone. whereas, others have a more consistent battery life. then there is the issue of burn in. over time, some pixels can display less intense light. so there cud be brightness patches over the screen. and of course, u know that oled isnt good in sunlight. nova is probably a lot better. but also, uv light (from the sun) damages oled displays. phone company might (or might not) put another layer in the screen. this layer wud be to block the uv light and as we know, more layers is usually bad. remember most resistive touchscreens?
as for the o3d, the screen is only really good when ur in 3d mode. if u switch it to 2d mode its just like a regular screen. however, if i could choose any phone but based only on it screen, i wud still choose o3d. i think 3d is more of a leap forward in technology than amoled which has existed for a while now, but still has a few issues (which is why samsung keep adding prefixes and suffixes to amoled). the 3d screen is great bcos its gives more realistic appearance to images. also u can hv content that u can only view on this phone such as youtube 3d.
some ppl might say the 3d thing is a gimmick. but if u look at the list of features that were once gimmicks, u might reconsider calling 3d a gimmick. list: cameras (then arguments over megapixel count and quality), flash for camera, touchscreen (even the argument between resistive and capacitive), accelerometer (and maybe even the gyro sensor), 3rd party apps, 4g, and display color (65k vs 16mil arguments)... these were all considered gimmicks (at least where i am).

AnonD-1776, 22 Feb 2011this phone is nothing when compared to almighty samsung gs2After having the SGS for a few months, I would jump ship into something more superior like this phone. The O3D's CPU and RAM is much faster the the ones found on the SGS 2.

Two cameras are required to record videos and take photos with 3D.
