as for other phones like the HTC and the S3 they might and most likely will show improvement as the ui on those phones is so clogged and in my opinion shite that they aret smooth on 4.03 as they screwed it up.
so jellybean with forced 60 fps will show smoother sliding there but as mentiond this will cost more bttery power as the forced fps rendering is more gpu and cpu intencive and that means more power drainage when sliding and scrolling.
but with the LG being smooth as butter to begin with it will not benefit from the biggest change in 4.1 and 41 has no real other features that are worth noting so what do you want me to say.
i cant name you features of 4.1 that arent usefull if they arent inthere to begin with.
the biggest change is forced 60 fps which just drains battery there is no other change wort mentioning.
this isnt a big update like 2.3.3 to 4.0.1 or 2.2 to 2.3.
android is maturing and theres not much left to improve so software updates become less and less usefull.
as for battery tests if you havent seen any you havent looked.
just do ignore the video and browser arts as those are pointless and the 4x is bad on that because they use a crappy browser which uses all 4 cores constantly.
donload another browser and you can browse/watch video twice as long.
its a app based os after all if 1 part isnt optimal just replace it and thats what you need to do with the browser and media player.
even tho the mediaplayer is unique and can do things no other can its not really useful in reality.

But never showing any fact or point to a fact.were did you get your facts?I never seen any test showing that battery last longer in 4x than the competition.I have newer seen test that shows ics is better than jb.but I have seen tests that show better performance and smooter running in jb and even battery lasts longer and I also have personal experience Of that.And for your informance I upgraded my galaxy tab p7300 from stock 3.2(which is useless)to custom rom 4.1.2 .It is a high end tablet and only few monts old and now it run.s like.
Ics is not bad it is old win xp is not bad it is old.

i almost couldn't believ it when i saw this on your beloved s3's forum, what's this? now it's obvious os updates is not all that counts neither does exynos chipset mean better battery.
But when i look at the 4x i just can't figure out any issue it suffers that other quads do not suffer Aboveall it has the best screen-best-gpu&cpu. So f** de rest, i roll with the best.

theres no speed improvements theres nothing new in it that makes the phone better then a phone with 4.03.
its a FACT that the battery is better then the competition its also a fact that its faster then the one x which has the same hardware.
its also a fact that the rom has no real issues.
its also a fact that the optimus g is faster then the S3 by miles due to its new 4 core soc which is a newer generation.
and its a lie that llg does not support there phones.
there have bin 5 updates within 5 weeks after the release of the phone till all buggs where fixed.
after buggs are fixed why do you need another update in 4.03.
and i fairly sure you will get 4.1 you will just have to wait i rather see them do it perfectly then see them mess it up like htc and samsung having to add nother 10 patches to get it working right.
and give lg a break theyhavecompletely reorginized they are already improving but it takes a few years for them to get the whole software department up and running.
and your tablet must have had 2.3 or 3.0 as if you notice a difference between 4.0 and 4.1 you messed up your device or the 4.0 you had on it was just a bad one which isnt the case on the lg 4x hd.
oh and there is no such thing as a google phone.
theres nexus phones but thats just a samsung phone for now and soon LG and maby sony will make a nexus phone and yet they get faster updates but they also get a whole lot more bugs.
and frankly i dont trust the lg 4x hd info here on gsm arena as many times we have seen data being changed downwards when consumers clearly thought different and therefore i think this site has testers that are samsung or apple fanboys.

I also have galaxy tab 8.9 that was stuck with honeycomb until I rooted it and put 4.1.2 in it then I saw what new software can do. But I don't want to rooth my android's it ruins my warranty. I don't buy neither Samsung tablet or lg phones again (and I think there are many who will do the same) Asus.and Google phones will bee the next for me

4.1 does NOTHING to increase phone preformance for that you need to update hardware as the current firmware is already optimal even more so then the direct competition (one x).
the optimus g has a newer and better soc then the S3 so once more your spewing a load of rubbish.
and a alrerady 100% smooth phone cannot get smoother which is mainly what android 4.1 does by forcing 60 fps.
its actualy a bad thing as it forces 60 fps which uses more calculating power meaning it drains your battery faster.
something that is 100% smooth cant get any smoother.
ive yet to see a single hiccup on the 4x hd if youve seen them uninstall your crappy apps or learn to read rooting guides as you might have done it wrong.
if your 4x scores that low you need to UPDATE it tpo v10e/f and lose the crap you have installed on it.
and the optimus g is atleast 30% faster then the S3....

i just bought that phone.
on mobile data i can download anything from android market, but on wi-fi, when i try to download, it never statrts downloading.....just showing "donloading" but the status bar is not increasing at all :(
the browser works great on mobile and wi-fi, no diference.
just on aplication downloading, in doesn't work . can anyone tell me how to fix it ?

hen I buy high end phone I want high end software support.
I have Samsung galaxy tab 8.9 rooted and android 4.1.2 in it and it almost scores the same as my 4x I won't buy High end phone from lg again phone are good but lousy software support
