Those two HTC Windows 8 phones looks tempting too. Well, there's always a lot of new phones coming to the market, and I do not need to rush into buying another phone, as I'm quite happy with my GS3 at the moment.
Will be buying the Galaxy Note 2 for my wife to replace her Note 1. Theoretically, this is a better phone then my GS3, but too big for me to carry around! Anyway, I'm waiting for my iPhone 5 to arrive in 2 weeks time (ordered it to see if I'll hate it as much as my iPhone 4 for well over 2 years ago - I hate those Apple restrictions, not the phone!).

I really like this phone since the time it was announced but the Xperia Acro S is holding me from buying this coz its nice to hear a waterproof phone having good specs. :) But specs-wise O4X is really better.

Do not buy this rubbish phone...
The touch screen is very annoying - not responsive or sometimes no response at all!!!...especially notice when I do handwriting of SMS, it gives no response, then it may suddenly show up something after a second; which was not what I want to write. I think there is a delay in response due to the software or hardware!???????!!
The speaker phone is not that loud, acceptable when watching video, but definitely not top quality. HTC One X speaker is louder and produce much clearer sound.
No objection to anyone who like this phone. As for myself, I'll getting rid of it (selling it because I'm fed up with using it for the past 10 days!).

FIRST OF ALL I'AM NOT PINO! damn it!
The speaker: it is fairly loud enough to be heard in a crowded place, the one that complains about it iThink had a hearing problem or using it at the high way hehehe it is actually loud enough if you want to used the speaker.
The firmware: first if updated it will not void the warranty . . . the only thing that can harm the warranty if you rooted the 4x
second for kababayan \,,/ iThink yah! our 4x can be upgrade to 10f but the lg guy told me its only for LTE usage well iDon't know what is the 10f fix or updated in the 4x . . . but until now well have to wait in our place for the 10f upgrade . . . is out now but in philippines not yet

ahm, light usage it will actually go a whole day and half . . . medium usage a whole day . . . and half a day for heavy usage like browsing playing games slash music etc . . .

I have this phone two weeks and I don't regret buying it. The build quality is excellent and to my eyes is more beautiful than its direct competitors, SIII and One-X. The display is awesome,it's crisp, clear, bright and you can use it in the sunlight without problems.
The sound is more than good and sincerely I can't understand the critique of GSM arena's review unless that they were unlucky and did the review on a faulty device.
That being said this device has a great disadvantage: the boot loader is locked, that means no custom ROMS and LG isn't famous for their support.
Other disadvantage is the camera, or to be more specific the camera software/firmware, it's a hit-and-miss to get a clear photo. The problems with auto-focus where somewhat addressed in version f but still, the experience is not satisfying.
The battery is on par with the competition and the heating problem is not that severe as it mentioned.
My opinion is that overall SGIII and One-X are slightly better but the value for money ratio of this phone can't be beaten by the competitors.
If you don't mind the chance of not having custom ROMS or of the delayed upgrades, by all means buy it. On the other hand if you do care about this, Samsung is clearly a better choice.
I' m hoping 4x to get the jelly bean upgrade but based on LG history -and I'm talking about 2x- I wouldn't hold my breath.
