Can anyone advise if there is any official update for the LG 4X HD P880 to android 4.2 or 4.3?
Also is there anyway of downgrading it from Android 4.1.2 to the LG ICS 4.0.3 that was on it originally?
I am asking for Official Updates as I want to make sure the phone works fully and without problem.
Also I have issue with Android 4.1.2 where when you type text on the phone sms, mms and internet drop out and you have to re choose to continue typing which is annoying.

For all the People having 4.1.2 jelly bean on their lg optimus 4x and facing lagging on their Phone Just follow these instructions. It sure helped my Phone a lot and now works great. Dial at Phone section 3845#*880# and You Will enter a hidden menu. Scroll down menu and enter mlt. Disable mlt. Restart the Phone To accept the settings . for better perfomance Install nova luncher as default Launcher. You Will never have Lag again and it Will gain more ram. It Will use only 600mb ram as the ics version. ENJOy

overburn, 03 Oct 2013don't buy this if you want to put a custom rom on it. it's ... moreMan, I rooted my phone, unlock bootloader, installed custom rom and did not brick my phone! To brick it, you have to put a lot of effort! :) You'll probably just have to flash kdz file on it and everything will be ok. Go to xda to see how.
This phone is perfect for custom roms and for play with, so learn and be brave, it's unbrickable!

go to xda for help and dont blame the phone for doing something unsupported wrong please.

how good or bad was your wifi and 3g signal?
there is a known thing of things you should and
shoulndt do and should test before you blame a phone.

don't buy this if you want to put a custom rom on it. it's an absolute pain. i think i just bricked it, but fortunately lg have a recovery tool for that so it might still work. hopefully.

Do not buy this phone, I bought it month ago and put it back to seller after bad experience about bad bad Battery life.. I am now thinking to buy Samsung Mega 5.8

battery life is on par with the S3 and if you ask me jb is worse as it uses to much ram but on v10H this phone is just great.

often battery life is worse preformance is worse and it uses more ram then stocl v10 roms.
rooting however is a good thing so you can disable a lot of crap you dont use and use greenigy which should be standaard in android if you ask me.

remorema, 25 Sep 2013I really think that that this is the best phone in the 250€... morewithout gaming its alright however when you start a game its just sucking it dry.
but this isnt limited to this device hehe my tablet with a much bigger battery is also empty in less then 5 hours.
what you can do to improve battery is when you only use whatsapp is put your 3g on 2g only its fast enough for whatsapp but not for browsing. it is 4 times as power efficient.
other then that just disable maps google plus and dont use the facebook app.
these are poorly written apps that use way to much power.
