malaysian buyer, 18 Mar 2013hi. do you think this phone is still worth buying now? coz ... moreif the LG fits your price range you wont find a better phone anytime soon for this price.
new phones all will be almost doube the price except for many the L7 II but that wont be available till july and is a dual core.
as far as im concerned if you want 4.7 inch the lg 4x hd and upcoming L7 II are the only phones to keep inmind the rest fall in a whole different price range.
the L7 will be about 15 to 20 % cheaper i expect but theres noone will know if it will be without errors or other issues.
we all know how good the 4x hd is.
so if you dont fancy a gable and want to wait you really wont be disapointed :)

krassi, 18 Mar 2013What, pino? only 4.45 hours? what are you doing with your p... moreis that with our without standby's in the middle?
my time is without standby at all its just the screen on time/time your actualy using the phone.
and calling uses about a 3rd of the power of using the phone otherwise but as everyone has whatsapp i dont call anymore hehe.
i highly advice everyone giving screen on time of the battery statistics rather then total time on as the amount of standby n the middle matters a lot my phone lasts a total of 2.5 days in general but most of that is standby but thats irrelevant info for others.

a week or some someone asked me if i wantesd to test if my cpu went back to 4 cored after disabling QuadGearBox.
as i was still in the way of testing the 2 core setup 5 times for a better sample (QuadGearBox enabled) i didnt get to it fir a few days.
but as i was done a few days ago can now safely confirm that with reenabling the 4 cores the battery lasts shorter again (arround 4 hours 15 min average again).
as for those that are interested in my 2 core average i got a average over 5 tried of 4 hours 55 minutes which is not as high as i had hoped but its still 40 minutes extra active use time with the display on low which is fine indoors.
my lowest time was 3 hours 50 (i think there was a bug that charge) and my highest charge was 5 hours 35 minutes active use time on a charge.
which was wihh less then 15 min video playback about 30 minutes browsing (facebook mobile and some other searches) and the rest was lots of whatsapp and wordfeud.
so if your a light user and really only browse verry little and other then that use whatsapp and use light apps you can easely get 5 hours 15 min out a charge with QuadGearBox and wifi permanently on.
also note this highest score was a total battery time of 2 days and 7 hours so theres about 10% drained from being standby in those 2 and a half days.
as for my next project : which browser is most energy efficient.
my bet is on firefox or chrome but time will tell.

siren, 16 Mar 2013I love this phone...no questions asked since I have it for ... moresadly im not a psychic hehe tat could make sweet money on the stock exchange.
bit lg stated first quarter 2013 which ends at march 31.
so in theory they have 2 more weeks and for them i hope they make it but if they need a few more weeks to make it perfect i rather see them take that 2 weeks.
if you are absolutely happy with the way this phone works on ICS like i am i would definitely NOT update to JB for a while.
first wait and see if theres some significant improvements or features you like.
wat what it does to the battery and see how much memory JB soaks up.
(ive seen reports of JB leaving ony 270 mb ram free where i now have a average of 500 free)
so if your happy id wait a month or 2 see what features/issue possibly pop up and see if they matter for you.
being in a hurry to upgrade always has a chance to make your device worse (ask HTC one X users haha)

AnonD-12555, 15 Mar 2013I got you man. I had 2x before this one, and it seems like ... moreyou call the 4x firmware unfinished but you dont even mention what you find unfinished on it...
so what do you think is wrong with it?
what feels unfinished?
as ive tried hard to make it crash and i havent sucseeded so far.
ive tried hard to make it stutter by booting up every single app i have in the phone and let it run in the background and i failed.
ive tried to find flaws in the firmware and all i found wher 2 errors in the translation to dutch and 2 wrong sentances which isnt bad for a korean company :)
so enlighten me what do you think is wrong in the firmware as from all the android devices this is by far the most solid rom i have ever seen.
and the only thing id change would be the typos and id remove all bloatware or atleast prevent it from autoboting.
other then that its flawless and id install it on my tablets any day of the week if i could.

sharman, 14 Mar 2013Using leaked jb in my 4x ,,Lots of improvement,,first of al... moresorry but this is not true.
if you need to charge every 2/5 hours you need to stop playing games non stop as thats the only way you can drain the phone that fast!
and frankly there is no way JB improves that as its ont making the cpu use less power.

krassi, 14 Mar 2013Pino I have 2. questions.for you. have you tried this prog... moreno i have not as my phone is perfect as it is (unrooted) and dont see a reason to root it.
and i know this is not the adviced root method used on xda so i wouldnt risk it after all the xda way to root doesnt seem to hard anyway.
xda root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?
p=29868577
as for greenify i juts quickly looked it up and instaled it (some things work even without root) and it feels a little useless to me.
all it seems to do it disable apps till you need it again.
this is only usefull if you have apps that are bahaving badly to begin with but still want to use.
but a sane person shouldnt want bad apps on there device anyway and look for a alternative :)
so in my opinion in theory this works but its only usefull if you have badd apps on your phone you want to use (like maps and google +)
as this puts the app to sleep after using it rather then you having to kill it permanently to prevent bad behaviour.
but as i said id not bother and get rid of the app instead but some might want this as they need mapps or some other app.
