Im thinking of getting bigger battery soon.

ther one x also has poorer batetry life and the S3 is about the same but its shitty expencive.
like i said there is no better price preformance phone then the lg 4x hd there just isnt.
no patter if its a HD screen a good battery a good smooth rom on price preformance the LG beats them all this is just reality.
there is 1 phone that beats the LG on battery life byt a number that matters and thats the motorola razr max but thats not really a great phone otherwise plus its butt ugly.
the main thing is if you watch a lot of video's the quad core 4x hd will win in price preformance and quility every time.
it you listen to music a lot and dont watch videos a lot phones like the L9 and L7 will be better but as soon as you watch movies with those they will be half as efficient as the wuad core LG 4x hd.
i suggest you watch some battery statistics on the web and youl see then both have a compromise. but in the overall picture the high end phones always win but ofc they cost more.

small update.
i just finished another charge and i got 5 hours 33 min out of it which is 1 hour 15 min longer. then normal.
i did about 30 minutes of whatsapp, 45 minutes video and atleast an hour browsing in chrome.
the rest was all random stuff.
i also found once more that the battery meter is bad it drained to 22% really fast then it was stuck there for over an hour.

klaha, 28 Feb 2013is true that 2150 mAh battery really disappointing like tha... moreas said a lot of times this phones battery is pretty much on par with all other was cores phones or better so you can but another hpone but with a quad core at this time your just not gonna get noticibly better battery time.

Hopefully won't have more than a 5inch screen as any more is just stupid. I would prefer better battery life and Motorola should have that. But until then I am very happy with the LG optimus 4xhd

are you maby just expecting things that isnt possible on any phone?
also its not really usefull to say something disapoints you and then not say why.
personaly i cant think of anything lg coulld have dine better withthe current technology to improve the lg 4x hd other then giving it 32 gb rom and tweaks the rom so we get to move app data to the external sd card but frankly no brand with a sd slot bothers with this.

Im sticking on my LG P880 for one more year, yet i do love the phone battery can be lil bit more but hey i got used to charging once a day!

these 5" fhd smartphones are so silly, you'll have your phones connected to the charger all day, you wouldn't really call it a mobile device would you ? However as I am likely to upgrade from the 4x hd which has disappointed me in so many ways, i would either have the optimus pro G which has a bigger screen at 5.5" the lenovo k900 or go for the 6.1" Ascend Mate which is hd only and would actually be ideal for me as it would have less strain on the battery. Would like to know what everyone else would like to choose this year as their new phone. Personally I would prfer a large hd phone but if not then at least a 5.5" fhd phone.

If u looking for good battery device, go for the LG optimus4x. Want style n a beauty look go HTC one. U should watch some review on youtube about those 3 models n it'll give u idea which 1 u should grab. If I were u, I pick google nexus 4 because of 2 gig ram in the price range with the 3 model u state.

i have a LOT of time on my hands and i spend a lot of time testing and reading hehe.
and for the people interested about my 2 cores disabled experiment i just finished my first charge (seems i did have time after all as i had to watch the cat which had surgery)
this charges was a bit busted as i had some app downloaded dusring my draining test and sadly i sdownloaded the wrong one and it had a bug that made me lose 28% battery while i was cooking a snach which i noticed t late.
but even with that i did some browsing some movie watching even some light gaming (3d tetris the game that bugged my test...) and i had 4 hours 11 min use time.
so if i calculate that trou to 100% of the battery actualy being used it would be roughly 5 hours 45 minutes which is a 1.5 hour increase in actualy use time (screen on)
which is a 35% increase.
ofcourse this test was everything but scientific as i spend some time fixing and locating the bug that drained my battery so its on the charger now and more draining to do tomorrow.

I'm very impressed by your reply to those people asking for clarifications as i do. i was the one asking about IP5 vs Android back then and i found your answer is very true and logical as to this answer. When i got a chance to connect the internet i really like to read all your comments here on Lg4xHd coz it teaches me a lot regarding android. am also a reader of engadget but your Lg4xHD comments is 4 android topic. keep it up Sir!!

plz. co... morewel without you saying what your needs are preverences are i cannot say what you should choose.
i like the 4x most of all those as the one x screen is a lottle more saturated which i dislike and it has no sd slot or removable battery which is a must for me.
and the stock battery is only 1900 mah so guaranteed to last about 20 minutes+/- shorter on active use time.
plus the one x is more expencive.
the galaxy isnt even in the same league so this one you cant even compare.

AnonD-108056, 27 Feb 2013Well for now..every day use i got 14 hours of use with one ... more14 hours is not really interesting to me what is is the actual use time as this is the ONLY way to see if your battery life increases.
to check this take total time since full charge minus the time under phone inactive.
this is the total use time you get with the phone.
im on my full charge now (93%) on die dual core 1500 mhz setting and am curious what it will do to the battery life :) i wont know anytime soon as i generaly last more then 2 days and i dont have time to drain it manualy today.
but ill surely let everyone know my findings when im done testing.
