What's that about giants screens on every phone!? 4.0"-4.2" was perfect, now 4.5 and 4.7, what's next? 5"? 6"?

I found that 4.0.3 on my lg 4x is awesome and it's run so smoothly ..

I bought the phone a few days ago. Battery does drain if 3g is kept on. I installed androod booster to see which appln is hogging power. It says smart log service and sim toolkit r consuming max power of around 85% . I am on 10d. Can i disable these apps? Any other suggestions o improve batt life without rooting?

HI,
I updated my 4X and the latest software version is V10.
But when i start browsing and gaming, my phones gets heated.
Anybody can tell me the reason? It was OK before update.

The batt is draining like hell, how to fix this?
Overnight with WIFI on, average 20-30% of batt gone.
Also, will JB come into P880?

And start calling people "fanboys" and presuming someone was asking the impossible I always thought that this is the site for review. I do not complain (well what is the point, I have the device anyway).. If I want to ask questions, I do it in forums. Well anyway. This is over. You can be right all you want. Take care. May Lg be with you :p ( this is the reason why LG got a bad name)...

Because it happened to my S3 and HTC to0 when I used their stock roms. But for those, I have options to change my roms to custom. That is all. For some reason, some users are feeling I am bashing the brands complaining about its defective products. I will post the same reviews if Samsung decided to lock their bootloader and no custom roms available :D. The display is nothing less than awesome so does the processor.

only people that expect the impossibleor dont know what they are talking about come to complain.
thats how lg got a bad name to begin with.
there hardware was always just fine.
ofcourse theres a small group that actualy have a issue but they often get it fixed within warrantee.

Waoooo am Im the only one who does not have any issues with my P880 apart from the Battery wich is normal since is a DAM QUAD CORE.
Other than that this PHONE IS AWESOME. It might be the fact that my P880 is Developer vesion and UNlock. And did not come with useless Bloatware. I ROOT IT anyways and only delete 2 apps the Yahoo Weathers and the SOCIAL app from Lg.
But is by FAR in my opinion that work on TMobile one of the best devices around. And the IPS display is AWESOME AND SWEET. Is Running on AT&T on USA. And so far NO ISSUES....Just baterry but hey who can say theyre phone las long... Only people with FEATURE PHONES.

hmmm..ive been here for quite a while now reading the comments here about 4X HD ..because im planing on buying one..but what stops me for buying this phone is based on this comments/expiriences of the users..i think pino knows a lot about this phone and its components...so i continue reading his very helpfull articles about this phone..i really2 want this 4X HD but the cons..battery problem and bad CS of lg...no updates till now...im still gonna wait and continue to subscribe to this thread to know more info on my target 4X HD..
to PINO...
pls continue on updating with your facts and methods for 4x hd...
also can i ask why would lg wont give update for this phone??specially os updates..for me it would be a waste not to update this phone it has a great potential.

the locked bootloader has no... moreThe thing is I am using this as a secondary phone. The data mode is not on, wi-fi is off. I used my S3 as my primary phone because I got it first and I do not want to move my data around. 10e is the latest version in my country (Indonesia), I can not OTA update anymore. I tried searching for the Off the air update and the links seem to be temporarily suspended. I am not sure if this is a light rom, because before due to the lack of stock roms available and no knowledge available for this model, I tried using it the way it is (no root whatsoever), then the battery drains. Then I rooted and got rid of all the bloatwares (all LG applications), then the battery improved. Well at least it lasts much much longer now. I know the free memory is larger than S3, so I do not know what makes it draining battery. The locked bootloader does not affect the performance, true. But no customs roms available to you, so whatever problems you have, you stuck with it :D
BTW.. I am not a fan boy. This is a review. If the review means I have to praise despite my own experience with the phone.. then my mistake for giving out my opinion.. I have nothing against LG or any other model.. I do not use it intensely for four hours straight.. I know how reasonable usage of phone means... Because I do not put LG on the pedestal does not mean I only use desktop and blabbing my mouth out of the blue..

Have seen and tried them all. The true IPS HD available only in Optimus 4x HD. ASUS Transformer and Nexus 7 is not available in my country. So does the True IPS monitor. Despite all the bad reputation of LG, seriously bad, I decided to choose to try this phone. Believe it or not, i bought this phone from a phone shop, LG official shop does not even know this model, they said I might have been mistaken with L9...?? Ok, so LG CS is no hope. I browsed the internet, I have rooted and removed all the bloatwares that are listed as "safe". The batteries improved. But for other tweaks or helps, not much available for you. All the links to the stock roms have been temporarily removed. As you said I do not mind waiting 0.1 second for the touch screen delay, IF this is a mid range phone (which will cost me cheaper for the same touch feels). This is a top of the line and a quad core phone, should have been better than this. Again, I am not bashing the model. I am just reviewing based on my own experience vs all the Samsung model I have tried. One more thing, all my friends who owned LG complaints about their service, you need months for the hardware components (no guarantee it will solve your problem) or days for the software fixes. If they can not fix them, they will bounce you around by blaming your operator or trying to put the blame on you for example you dropped your phone, it is your operator's fault, your memory card is broken etc.

if its your 3g try this :
go to data manager > Data Delivery > Data enabled and make sure the box is checked or recheck it.
seems some providers have issues with seep mode.

the locked bootloader has nothing to do with preformance and features.
the rom is smoother then all the competitions roms this is a fact not a opinion.
the rom is lighter then all the competitions roms and uses up to 200mb less ram so its far from bloated.
if the battery is draining your most likely the reason forr it as simply said NO quad core phone will be able to deal with hours of constant use.
even the tablets with quad core chips wont last longer then 4 hours of constant use its just the reality of quad cores.
and nicase you missed it lg is having record sales this year so many people are buying LG and yet we only hear a few fanboys like you complain about there phones.
and v10e isnt the latest update thats v10h.
your expecting to much from phones its not a desktop they use batterys your s3 will also be drained after 4 hours non stop use.

Why I came up with Optimus is just because for the moment of buying, was the only phone with magnificent IPS display 1280x720, which is by far better for reading and watching video than any AMOLEDs (i say that as former owner of 2 Samsung phones with Super AMOLED screens)

And i am choosing s3. And i am saying i will not buy lg ever because s3 is roughly the same price but more convenient to me.if you are an lg fan and like it, i am fine with that.That is just a matter of preference.
