- simply remove bloatware, it's 5 min of work with root rights. I now have a drain about 1-2% per night, which is a good mark.

- strange, I consider the device responsive. EVEN if there were little lags - I would not be in such a hurry to not be able to wait some ~0.1 secs )))

- if something is wrong, as practice shows, looking for solution in internet is ALWAYS more efficient than applying to any customer service. Service is useful if you have to repair hardware, that's it.

- I have installed 10f (latest version, I have chosen a "baltic" section, does not matter) and everything is smooth.
The only my complain is a not very good audiochip (in comparison with my iphone5).
BTW, battery drain when using internet (3G or Wi-Fi) is intensive, but it's like that in most smartphones, I just try to live with that :) :(
SO - nothing really dramatically bad about LG phones :-P

I just bought an LG optimus 4X HD 5 days ago. The problem i encounter w/ this phone is that when u allow the phone in sleep mode half or an hour, the signal goes on NO SERVICE!So i have to re-start it over again. Its very hassle! HOW CAN I FIXED IT?

This handheld does not live up to my expectation. I am using S3 and 4X and tbh, in terms of tech specs they are both very close. In terms of practical usage, LG 4X is nothing more than an amateur phone with a nice looking built. The batt is draining like hell, locked bootloader which makes it hard to change the roms. The stock roms is nothing more than craps full of bloatwares (which is the same with S3, that is why I hate stock roms :D ). The touch screen (especially after standby) feels like this piece is powered by a single core, I have to re touched it a few times to make it "normal". Also the Customer Service in my country is nothing more than a dumba** wearing LG uniforms, so I have to rely on internet if anything wrong (which does not offer much since not many people using LG.. Now I know why). I have updated twice to the latest version (10e), nothing change but the version info on the about section. Well 4 stars for the performance and seriously will never EVER buy LG mobile phone again.

Hello. Maybe someone knows, how to make phone install programs, games and other stuff to my Micro SD? It is always install to phone memory except camera photos and recorded videos, they automatically stored to Micro SD.

This phone is still-a-bomb.
Thought ...G will be more battery efficient even heat issues is reportedly greater on it. 4x remains the ultimate choice.
All i hope & pray is Lg updates the 4x soon to 4.2jb and aswell update their optimus ui, cos presently it stil lacks som tweaks and magics that makes a phone taste salty. Other than that 4x isn't a good 2nd choice, it is the best!

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2012Thnk you dude for your reply and about using if i use conti... moredownload the watchdog app charge the phone to 100% and leave it on the charger for another 30 minutes.
the unplug the phone and let watchdog run for atleast 4 hours so it can collect data and do not use the phone during that time.
then simply open watcdog and see if theres any background apps that use battery.
they shouldnt use more then 1% and there should only be a few.
if theres more remove the app and get a replacement for it that doesnt drain battery.
do keep in mind that its always adviced to charge atleast 30 to 45 minutes past reaching 100%.

what do you consider quick ... moreThnk you dude for your reply and about using if i use continue the battry drains in 2 or 3 hr and if i dnt even use phone n close gprs it hardly run almost a day and about heating i got it its a quad core process but i want to knw is there any way abt phn heatng.

what do you consider quick battery draining and how manu time of that did you spend playing with the phone.
you have about 4/5 hours use time of the phone if your constantly messing with it.
and people tend to do that when they ust got it :)
if you barely touch it it should almost make it 2 full days with wifi and 4g disabled.
and heating is normal.
its a powerfull quad core after all.

It really bothers me the notifi... moreyeah im currently testing some cpu apps myself and some apps seem to ahve literaly no effect on the battery even if i downclock to 400 mhz.
makes me thing its not the cpu that eats battery after all but maby 3g or wifi instead.
