To get the latest ICS u need to update for a different region. ICS for this phone in malaysia isnt out yet. That being said, I highly recommend you head over to xda forums for custom roms and other tips n tricks.

hai guys now I update it from LG service center. 4.0. but it can also update into 4.1jelly beans now

Just go to LG Center on your City to upgrade your Optimus Black to Ice Cream Sandwich, it's free of charge. Thanks

Dear Friends, I'm in Malaysia, I try to update the new ICS use LG software update tool but it's showing that the device have the latest version so you don't need to updated. also I un installed the update tool and download the new one and tried again still the same result.
please somebody help me on this issue.

so RAM plays a major role for me...
That's y i am continuously asking same question regarding RAM, if user available RAM really decreases to 201MB then i will definitely not upgrade my phone to ICS.
only one guy answered 201 is it true??
in GB its 488MB in ICS its 201MB.. i just can't believe it..
ICS users plz do conform user available RAM.. by installing mini info classic app.
plz tell me denominator value

Hey Sandy, I installed ICS4.0.4 on OB.... Ths is bloody awsome. Performance is fluent and crisp.
I would say get it updated and feel on your own.

PLEASE INTALL (Mini Info Classic) App
open it and tell me user available RAM
in GB it shows 488MB user available RAM
i want to know for ICS..

i'm loving it when i upgraded it to ICS...love the camera quality with a Voice command feature: Say "cheeese" or say "LG" and it takes photos! A panorama shot is now included...Yay! Also love the Screen capture or it's called QuickMemo where you can write anything on the pic or put a caption on it. Love the Google+ video chat..it's like Facetime quality...also, the servise provider video call is so nice! Youtube HQ video is awesome...except one downside, easy battery drain..

its a gud bt nt very gud 4n. random internet connection, in fact i hav to switch it off & on again 4 it to send & receive data.
if ther is a way to fix this i wuld rily appreciate.
very gud cameras that produce very gud picture quality.

its one of the best phones and that too for a small price tag im using it for about 3 months and im completely happy it have got awesome camera quality
