It's still an amazing phone but it's one that's increasingly harder to find in stores.

This is bad news for us, as manufacturers usually only make updates for phones which are still being sold in large quantities somewhere in the globe (they do it to make that old stock look more appealing to the costumer and thus generate revenue by selling those units). Samsung is notorious for this, they did it with most of their flagship S line.

Once the phone is no longer being sold then the manufacturer drops it, as it no longer makes more money from that (it's actually an added cost).

Nevertheless fear not! Because our phone is so much alike the Nexus 4, we will likely be privileged with 3rd-party ROMs (like CM) which will take advantage of Google's hard work in bringing Lollipop to the Nexus 4 and thus make a very stable and usable ROM for our devices.

any possiable for 4.4.4 kitkat update

KitKat 4.4.2 (v20a), fix many problems, camera problem is no more again, speed in texting is the same, but I notice that there is a bug if user finish playing game in ePSXe when exit from that application. Afer exit from ePSXe, the LG Optimus G that I experienced will open random application (for example Chrome, Browser, Memo, etc) even if I check on task manager or tap and hold home button to launch running apps, no running apps.

Please try and confirm before replying. I am in double mind whether i should update to kitkat or stay on jelly bean. Also are there any specific benefits or there are more bugs instead. Thanks....

In my opinion this way usually done by users who don't have high end phone. LG Optimus G is high end model and have better features and specs compared mid end. No root prevents users loss warranty an brick, so it is better stay with no root.
