Just used this phone for a few days now. Wow its the best phone i have ever used. Forget iphone 5 (quite childish) compared to this monster. The interface and fluidity is the best in the business. No lag no slow down nothing its that good. I remember wanting this phone last year when it was announced when iphone 5 came out. Its taken a while but boy has it been worth it. Root the phone for even more speed and fluidity. I am in love...the perfect phone 5 stars

Memory card slot is not necessary as long as the internal storage is large enough at 64GB. Iphone users never complained about lack of card slot. What I wanted for this phone is to have at least 3000mah battery.

Should i charge only when battery depletes completely?
or just charge when needed? Which will cause more harm to the battery? Thank you for answering.

The optimus g including the pro use slimport instead of mhl. Slimport is better than mhl. You get full 1080 at 60 fps vs mhl 1080 at 30fps, also you don't need to supply power for the slimport adapter.

Had the phone for about 3 days now, sold my HTC ONE X and picked up the OPTIMUS G (E971 version). FANTASTIC phone. Didn't really need to upgrade from the HTC ONE X but the price was right. The OPTIMUS G is a beautiful phone and works like a charm. Blazing fast. The only downside for me is the lack of an Micro SD slot...but may not be an issue for others.

Well, all I can say that this is the best phone I have ever had. Its so fast, lag free, very bright screen and worth the money. Lg really did a fantastic job. Just want to see how they keep pace with other rival companies when it comes to software update in India..

AnonD-125953, 23 Mar 2013Best done in 2012 but hard to see compete with HTC one, s i... morePersonally, I think that the 720p screen of mobile phone is enough for video watching.
Mobile Phone only has a small size screen, compared to PC's, and 1080p screen should be more like a market motivation.
We use the phone for life better, not for the specification, is that so?

Lol,do you think quad-core is not enough? This shows how much you know about mobile industry.
You can have 16cores cpu and 12 cores gpu,but if the apps are not optimized for that hardware,it's useless. We don't all apps optimized for dual core, the support for quad is less, and you are worried about octa core?sure, if you have the money, you can buy every new gadget, but an otimized dual core beats a crappy quad.same for octa.the problem is not on the hardware side my friend, but on software.look at Apple products.an iphone 3gs still has amazing apps, although it's quite obsolete.Maybe manufacturers should focus more on the software side or,at least on the battery and the build matterials. A quad core with 2gb ram is more than enough for at least 2-3 years.
The rest is marketing.

AnonD-111968, 23 Mar 2013i love this phone but can't afford to buy, have to wait for... moreDid u read the lines at all, fellow? They both spot similar 4.7" screen.
Guys am scared abt buying a dualcore phone especially now octa's are appearing. Next year may bring more of this octa... and i stil want a device that can tak me as far as 2-3yrs. I don't want to go into oblivion so soon with de dualcore f7. However i liked it, It has got just evrythin i wanted, removable batt, s.d slot but looks a tad behind with dualcore soc. In contrast thoug, optG packs almost all the necessities but lacks s.d slot. Why why why....lg why?
I just cant see a phone with satisfactory specs except Gpro, again it has got de problem=size. Oh Lg do somethin abt this Cos i realy want to upgrade from this old nokia n8. android almost screams my name in dreamz.
And i love u Lg above all de others. You hve my support. You'll eat my money. But improv. I hope to see further userfriendly devices perhaps with tegra4 soc.

Best done in 2012 but hard to see compete with HTC one, s iv , xperia z, with screen and other hardware, though this has good screen quality but 720 p bit old for the competition
