JB for this phone will probably be released by q1 2015 if i know LG. my 2x still has no official ics . We were promised ics by q1. Guys never buy LG phines they dont give a **** about their customers.

These 2100 or 2500 mAh batteries are enough, if they are tweaked, in the future they can be better than the 3300 ones.

they are so lated releasing this phone ,,, that just show how bad LG does in updating their phones .... huhhhh ... now i already changed my mind to buy htc j butterfly instead of this late released phone ... and also has many problem and the biggest problem is bad support from lg .... no way mannn ... heyy htc butterfly is not just more powerfull and fast than this phone but it is also waterproof yoooo ... for now it is the powerfull phone in world .

They're always very good, but keep lacking some vital features n turn out mediocre at best! This phone deserves a microSD slot n a non user-replaceable battery is really a joke! Other specs r flagship stuff, but as always LG fail 2 make their phones perfect! Good stuff, otherwise!

Other reviewers scored 7700 on Quadrant on the Optimus G, which means that, anyway you take it, is better than any other phone, please stop comparing it with other phones.

Who Cares about a camera with a dumb phone (808),or 5.5' oversized carp,or a sense ui that has no sense,
LG Optimus G is best & perfect phone till date :)
& what makes me so happy is LG will always remain Best because when exynos 5 quad 2ghz will be out,LG will probably out with tegra4/qualcomm s4 prime/s5 hahahah......

On Quadrant my Galaxy Note II never did lesser than 6820 and more than 6925 on completely stock FW without any twicks.

[deleted post]Finally Sony decided to make a good phone...these 5" phones that will be launched this year won't mean nothing against LG and Samsung's phones which will be launched next year. LG announces world’s first FullHD smartphone display with a pixel density of 440ppi. The panel used in the display is an Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching or AH-IPS LCD. This is the same technology that LG used in one of its panels last year for which they also won an award. Compared to standard IPS panels, AH-IPS panels have greater color accuracy, wider viewing angles and greater light transmission which leads to lower power consumption.
This 5-inch FullHD panel will be released in the second half of this year and should hopefully be the norm in next year’s high-end smartphones.

Safe to say, LG has done it - all the right pieces are put together in what's a good-looking and powerful smartphone. And unlike the Optimus 4X HD, the Optimus G isn't trailing behind the competition. This time LG is ahead of the pack.
