My phone battery drops only 2% from fully charge after 12 hours of standby whereas other android phone will drain at least 1% per hour in standby mode. the update has also provided smoother scrolling and faster UI.So, update to the latest firmware recently and you would not complain.

I purchased LG OPTIMUS L7 P705 BLACK. I experienced 3 big problems with this handset.
1. heats up from back side near the camera during very first minute of call.
2. Battery life very short.
3. speaker sound is low.
if any body have some suggestions for these problems, especially relating to heats up. please share & reply to me. thanks a lot in advance.

LG Optimus L7 P705 heats up rapidly within 1 minute, when I start calling. any body have solution for this problem?? or i have to replace it with new one, because i just bought it 2 days before.

shaun, 06 Sep 2012Let me know how the replaced phone is performing for you.. ... morePerhaps you have not updated to the latest firmware yet. LG rolled out a new firmware 2 weeks ago. This has improved the performance a lot. I have been testing the battery life since I updated 2 weeks ago and the battery life has been awesome. Th ephone only drop 2% of battery power after 12 hours of standby time. There is no other android phone out there I think that can drop only 2% in 12 hours of standby time. So, I will suggest that you check for software update, update to the latest firmware and enjoy your phone.

I purchased L7 few days back and had same issue along with poor battery life and performance issues. I was told that they can provide a replacement phone. I am not going to agree to this and I will opt to go for L9 or ask for a refund. I have been using LG OBlack and P500 and also using LG LED 42" TV. Hoping they could hear to the voice of customer! will keep posted.

Hi last week Aug31st i have bought this LG optimus L7 P705 phone.
1)It looks really good but while playing temple run game its getting lagging
2)if we play the games for 5 to 10 mins continuously or if we browse for 5 to 10 mins the mobile is getting very heat,after that we cant keep the handset to the ears.
I have reported the probelm to LG customer service center,they asked me to surrender the handset and they are providing new handset from headoffice withing 3 days.

HELP!!!if you want camera take the arc it is much better than any other phone , i have the arc , but if you want the toughness and durability get the lg because the arc is so tender and need much more aware in use , of course the arc display resolution is much more better but not steps away , do not forget the difference between both camera as a comparison gives the privilege to arc due its 8 Mega pixels , at the end the optimus is newer released than the arc but it does not much matter.hope i help you .

rajesh_d, 04 Sep 2012how is the camera and battery performancewhen it comes to camera its not that good as expected in my case it shoots vga for video, the camera of my xpress music 5530 is more better....also sometimes its freezing/log...but if your going to take pictures its ok only that it takes time to load the camera and also to take another picture, anyway thats what i experience in nine i dont to others that has the same device, if i rank this phone from 1 to 10 it would be 7...battery you have to charge everyday and if your looking for a good camera i would recommend you the xperia arc s its almost same price now but it has no front facing camera...but the phone is good for the mid range device...thanks and hope this could help in you...
