Sigh... again people are generalizing based on one experience and calling facts as rumors.
Just Google say "Philips SHH2660/10". These are headphones. You will see that the pack comes with an extra connector for some phones.
This is mentioned somewhere - "The wire below the left earbud follows with a microphone piece that also has a button to receive and cut calls. While the plug connects to HTC, iPhone, BlackBerry, LG, Motorola and Palm phones, Philips has an extra connector for Nokia, Samsung and Sony-Ericsson phones which has to be the attached to the plug".
What does it mean? The 3.5 jack is NOT universal. Note that despite mic and remote button provided on this handset, it is reported that either/both do not function on some phones, despite the adapter.
Please Google and if possible try the O1 headset on say a Nokia. It wont work (at least it does not work on the phones I tried).

script is in Edify ...so make sure use CWM or similiar recovery supportable...
IF you want or request Amend script will try to update..else convert yourself...

Your points:
1. Agreed battery capacity is lower. Not heard of overheating problems. Maybe issues with 1/some specific phones?
2. So? It has very good dev. support. You don't need to depend on Dell for that!
3. Not aware of this. No comment.
4. Don't know about XCD35's headphones, but can they really get any worse than the O1's headphones? The 2nd most serious issue I'v found with the O1 are the awful headphones. And for those who don't know - most other 3.5 headphones don't work. Even if the speakers work, mic and/or remote may not work.
5. True. But more than compensated by Dell's replacement policy rather than repair.
6. True. The O1's cam itself is not so good. But the XCD35's cam is just pathetic.
7. AFAIK, RAM can be unlocked to 512 MB.
With O1 you will get a lower resolution, very ugly (read dusty) screen. On the other hand the XCD's screen can just blow away O1 and every other phone in its range and beyond with it screen. Further, the screen is also bigger, which would really help texters. O1's 3.2" screen is a tad small for using QWERTY mode properly.
I am also mentioning what I know. Buyers, please consider what is more imp. and do your own homework before choosing.

I want the display of my phone lg p500 screen on my laptop. I tried to connect it through the LG OSP(on screen phone), but it is asking for any password. Don't know the password or whether i will be able to do so through OSP or not. Want to use my phone to give demo through projector. Please reply if any body having the idea.

[deleted post]yeah i used it and know how classy it is.. my friend had it for one month.. screen shited to top on own.. he got money refund and got a optimus black which.is much more classy.. i bet ace cant stand a word against optimus ...

Hi Friends, According to the LG Chile FB page, Romania was the first country to receive the Android 2.3.3 update for LG Optimus One. And soon it will be followed by Russia and then Chile and other countries. So now it is confirmed that we are going to get the Gingerbread on our phone.
