Did LG express this in formal announcement?

If LG did, then I think LG is law offending.

This statement reminds me that I have read discussions in some Asian forums that there are people who are paid to write good comments on some products, but this usually happens when a product is newly introduced.

There is a term for these sort of people, I don't know what it is in English, if you know, please post it.

For those considering this fone - yesterday manager in The Mobile Store told me that he is getting heaps of customers coming in with the dust problem. Many just within a few weeks of purchase; and are so severe that you don't even need direct sunlight to see it. He bluntly told me not to buy Optimus One if I was concerned about the dust issue. Even though they have very recent stock (May 2011, S/N: 104xxxxx), he told me not to buy as even customers who bought just about 1.5 - 2 months earlier are complaining about dust.

As for here, only 4 users have reported their manufacturing dates and S/N nos. Not enough to draw any conclusion. Of the 3, r.punk is complaining about dust in his February 2011 manuf. phone. People on other forums are also complaining about dust in 2011 manufactured handsets. Its clear that it happens sooner for some than others, depending upon the operating environment. In mine, I noticed dust 1st time after 4 - 5 months, when I checked in direct sunlight.

From all the above, it seems LG is clearly lying that it has fixed the problem in the newer series. Some people here are also falsely claiming that 2011 handsets do not have the issue.

Based on these reports, I don't think I will be buying another O1. Buyers

Spice mi 410 is Huawei ideos x6 rebranded as Spice mi-410 in India. spice mi-410 already has a custom ROM for Gingerbread & some people in india have have already flashed it to gingerbread. I would suggest if you can shell out some more money and get Spice mi-410 its not a bad deal at all. Moreover it has front camera for video calling which is supported by Gingerbread Rom.
