i bought mine last june 24...great fone much perfect than my stolen samsung jet...the question right now is that LG dealer here in the philippines say it new version of optimus one the box say special limited edition the differences with the older version is that the casing is glossy type not rubber and the unit comes with a headset bluetooth,a rubber selicon case with lg and google markings and they said that its already a gorilla glass display...i tried to search on the net but i only found is that cricket limited edition...great fone indeed but i still have doubts if this is really a gorilla glass display

Since r.punk has the problem and has the dust problem in his Feb manufactured handset, if he tells us his Serial No., it will give a better idea which other series is affected and if LG is telling the truth about certain series being affected.

im afraid that the fone may not withstand ur abuse and ruggedness...
The fone doesnt come with some shock resistant features like gorilla glass or with some gud build quality.
Just check a few pages back and u would find sum1 who broke his display within 20 days of purchase.
Well i think the fone which could withstand ur rough use is probably
Sony Ericsson Active.. Check it out.
It hasnt launchd yet. But its safety features would surely impress u. . . . .

Hello guys! This is a question for all O1 users. I've become a big fan of O1, i'm saving money for buying it next month, now tell me whether O1 is really a reliable device. Coz I'm a hard user of mobile phones. I get the hell out of phones. Will O1 be able to withstand it? ?

my handset is dust prone and i know it.... but features are awesom. gaming. better than psp.. i play hawx only for now. some laggy but its playable... awesom gaming... video great...
audio nice... softwares numerous. internet is fast. 3g in india. i get 2-3 mbps.... any problems can ask....
m gonna take it to cc for changing face plate... hope lg does it...

i would like to post my 20 days xperience with O1...
some users like patliputra nd suraj have written their opinions..my feedback is nearly same as theirs..so i dnt want to write the whole about phone...
videos:- its fantastic to watch movies in this mobile.even if the source is some 720p or 360p,if we convert them to our desired mp4 config...it looks great(keeping aside whatever the source may be)
audio:its good..but not great(from loud speaker)...but i got more satisfied with canal earpieces(using power amp)
resolution:great resolution.more worth the price.it doesn't look like 256k colors,may be coz of adreno 200 gpu(graphical interface).but if u look into the screen deeply when ur calling someone u can notice its a 256k color phone
internet: im using 3g.able to access it fastly.buffering is very good in youtube(hq videos).streaming is much better.can say best when watching tv.
games:playing angry birds..yes there will be some lag in some stages.think when goin into more n more stages it seems as if it will increase..many hd games are not supportive to this device...my opinion is its a better phone for gaming.but not a best one.(if one looks for many hd games then better to opt other phones which costs more)
battery:with my use..running fb,gtalk,power amp,browser,papaya,always hsdpa active,downloading stuff,wifi tethering i can barely get some 12 hours..think a normal use will last for a day.nd a less use will last for 2 days.
wifi:some are complaining that it will stop at the place where it shows "obtaining ip address"...its purely bcoz of problem in configuring modem.(even i too got the same problem)
p.s:above all its a good mid range droid.best when compared to its counter parts..
(think i wrote the whole review :p)

I have problems configuring my email accounts on Email application. It just doesnt connect or gives an error message stating "User name & Password incorrect" even though they are correct. I used to configure my email accounts a few days ago however it is currently not working. Can anyone help me to fix this problem. Thanks!

its feb made..i haven't got any dust problem...i dnt know whether it will accumulate or not...i live in a place that is better polluted(not very great :-p)...i use the pouch that i got from the box....but r.punk has posted that he got the dust issue that is feb made...think its better to ask him bout where he live nd how many days have gone purchasing this mobile..

well this is a good fone for gamers thanks to its wide screen n high resolution. Accelerometer works nice but i havent playd motion games in it yet. And make sure that while playing games like Angry Birds, it may hang a bit. But thats not a big issue.
Watching movies is good again due to its wide screen and high resolution.
Make sure it isnt more than 1gb.
If u want to play such movies then compress them to 800mb else divide the movie into 2 parts and play one after another. Video player is ok.
U may not get that "Bang" audio xperience of the movie through the headfones provided in the package and also through the loudspeaker. But if ur ok with it then that wont b a problm
Else purchase better sony headset or connect it with some external audio player.
Well it supports multiple video formats and check those over the internet.
Video streaming n internet xperience was also gud. And i expect that the Gingerbread upgrade will enhance internet xperience.
And the good news is the fone comes with an awesome battery backup and wont exhaust even after having hours of surfing or gaming provided u efficiently use it.
