AnonD-4053, 19 May 2011Every company have Zonal supplies with various specificatio... moredude I'm from Bangalore India and i did an update from my stock version which was v10b and now its v10e dated march 28 . when you connect d default country which comes is united states but you can select the country and language from the options available at the top left just look for yourself once. and dude i never felt any major difference after the update especially in camera but overall the performance improved but hardly noticeable . dude are you sure that camera improved . can't really believe !!

When I connected my LG Optimus One via PC Suite it recognized it as USA version. You might want to check on your version if its because of different version have differnt upgrade codes. As I said earlier I bought my handset from LG showroom. I really felt the components and overall performance was of quality standards. But after this upgrade it is simply amazing and it feels like a very expensive gadget. I can get that feeling because I have used many Android phones as I described earlier. I would suggest you to contact the LG service center in your area and ask them why is it that you are unable to upgrade to V10f. Its quiet possible that they might be able to get you the proper update.

Dheeraj, 19 May 2011Hi dude, its an amazing phone at low price band. I purchase... moreRe : Gingerbread, no idea, my wait was on. But after I got this upgrade yesterday to V10f I hardly bother to get 2.3 as I really like what I have. Its amazing what one upgrade can do to the handset.

Rajesh, 19 May 2011Hi RB, Could guide me how did u upgrade your version...! i ... moreYou will have to install on your computer the PC suite and the device drivers that came with 2GB card included with handset. Once you have connected your device to the computer via Pc suite, connect your Computer to the internet. In PC Suite you will find an option to upgrade the phone software. Click that option. PC suite will inform you that the upgrade is available. Just follow the instructions carefully. It will take about 1 hour to complete the update. Alternatively you may bring your handset to LG service center to upgrade if you are not very confident about doing it yourself. Good Luck.

Friends I tried connecting my phone to PC via LG PC Suite but it seems it dosent recognises my phone. Help guide says I should check from system->device manager(for XP) where it pops a yellow question mark on LG P500 modem which means it has not recognised my device. Help guide also says that I will get a connect option in my phone which I am not getting(except the default "use only as mass storage"). Please advice.

I was confused over HTC Wildfire or P500, but now I know, I made the right choice.

Yesterday I upgraded my device software to V10f dtd 24 Feb 2011. I felt as if LG took back my LG Optimus One which costed me USD 260 and gave me back LG Optimus One which cost USD 300 after this upgrade. WOW...what a change. The screen appears much sharper, the camera now takes better pics. Even in low light the sensors are performing better to give optimum results. Its too early to comment if battery life improved as its better to have 2 or 3 full charges and discharges after upgrade to come to that conclusion. I have also used Samsung Galaxy mini, Gio, Pro and Fit & also Sony Ericsson X10 mini and Pro + X8. Nothing comes closer to LG Optimus One. Now if we come to think of it you are getting Divx player with converter as well as a fully capable Thinkfree office where you can create, view and edit office documents. You are getting a camera which also takes better video in VGA format ( others do QVGA ). Your hopes are alive that your device can be upgraded to Android 2.3. What else in the world you need in a Sub $300 device. I will no doubt claim LG Optimus One a winner in every aspect. Now if we compare it to Samsung Galaxy Ace, Ace has some extras like larger screen, Gorilla Glass Display, LED flash and 800mhz processor ( Though its a same Qualcomm processor with over clocked speed, lets not go into alogrithms ). But still I would say you pay a lot less for LG Optimus One and can live happily without those extras. One more thing you must be aware of that if you buy your handset from Grey market you are not sure if it has been tweaked or refurbished for sale. Its better to get it from reputed dealer or LG Showroom I got mine from LG showroom and thats the reason I paid about USD 15 more than the price selling in market. Now I am planning to keep aside my 8 GB card which I bought last week and instead get a 16 GB high grade mSD to start enjoying my LG Optimus One. Cheers...

I am planning to buy this phone, from bangalore, the vendor. Local shop vendor has quoted 9000 w/0 accessories. If anyone finds a better price kindly let meknow.

I bought this phone after reviewing all the Android phone in the range of 10k-18k and i find this as best in terms of features and battery.
After getting it my expectations are over-fulfilled.
Good battery backup compared to all android phones.
Good feel in terms of quality of plastic used.
Responsive touch, good gps and superb sound quality.
Rating 9/10. Considering price and specification

Was very dicy while purchasing this phone,,, but yes,, if you want a true andro fon and enjoy it,, you have P500 as the best option
