I am not receiving sms/txt from certain numbers only. Any settings that I have accidently turned off or on??

Guys, I heard that this optimus one had a common issue, that is dust accumulating under screen, any of you had been experiencing this issue?
And if you did, how did you handle this issue..? Thanks. I'm about to buy one

Hi All
I have bought this phone LG optimus one and m pleased to have it but as i m very new to android i have some issues
1. I can't find any multiselect options in messages or songs so as to send or delete these files together like in other phone. doing singly is very cumbersome
2. how do i use a wi fi network once i m connected with a wi fi net work. do i need to do anything special for that as i can't open any internet even after being conected to wi fi net work

i m using ds phone has been for d last 8 months its amazing ,i bought it from uae ,right nw im in india and i tried to use gtalk for voice call i couldnt find any option from here and from uae also....in uae d sales man told me dt my sim connection doesnt support for ds i agreed and used ...i need help....pls reply.....ds phone doesnt support voice chat ?>???????????

well guys I have had this phone for a month now..and in my view best phone in its price range..no match in its category..awesome music, videos play smooth, great web experience,good battery life(1 day 4 me with an hr of android market, hf n hr of browsing, few calls,30 minutes of music,10 mins of videos, 20 mins of gaming n a few camera shots) and I BC heard am ppl saying accumulation of dust well I haven't seen a particle yet..and I also have rooted my phone and NW my Ph CPU is overclocked to 804 MHz which is 100% stable n also my neocore score is 57.9 fps
well guys this was a short review from me.
just wanna let u know this phone will never let you down in any part.

This phone has a known problem of accumulating dust under the screen. I have a friend with a November 2011 manufactured Optimus one and dust is visible when seen under sunlight. Not so visible otherwise.
Does anybody know if it has been rectified by LG? If yes, handsets from which manufacturing date can be expected not to have this issue? A well known shop I just visited has handsets with manufacturing date as December 2010.
Guys please help.

I got this mobile after seeing the review comments in GSMARENA. Thanks to all and gsmarens! I am over fulfilled with all the features, sound and video quality, as this is my perfect android set. Guys this is a perfect model for all the season in this range. I am giving 10/10* rating considering all the features with battery back up and in built apps. Thanks to LG for this amazing model.
I also joined this group to discuss any problem/suggestion for this mobile :).

I am planning to buy this handset, its the best for its price among Wildfire, Fit and Ace..
I just have one question, would I be able to access internet through mobile to PC, like we do with other sets by connecting the PC suite and using the phone's modem to access internet on PC.. is it possible with Android and specially with this handset..

It would be very risky to undergo upgrade in this manner as if something fails halfway your device will malfuntion and might not work. I suggest you upgrade your LG Optimus One in LG Service Center. They would probably do it professionaly.

I disconnected and established connection many times but same result. Do you have any idea? Is there Experts here please assist me...Thanks

One more question..howlong it took you to update... moreOnce I was connected via PC Suite and after the version was detected on line, I was prompted to opt for phone backup. Backup took me about 3 minutes, after that the PC Suite downloaded the new upgrade software which took about 38 minutes and finally the downloaded software was installed on my phone which took about 15 minutes. So all in all it took me a little more than an hour.
