i am using this phone for past one month the hardware is good & does not hangs up , video quality is average & picture quality is good , sound clearity is far more better than nokia in this price range. only one drawback is battery backup , when u use internet or wifi battery drains a lot.
conclusion a very good phone compiled with good hardware & very responsive screen go for it

First of all you need to set your budget dear. There is a vast difference between a 12K phone and a 30k phone. You need to set your requirements. If you are into gaming and want to play HD games or listen to music, take high quality pictures, video call, want a huge internal memory, best RAM and processor etc. then galaxy s or iphone is the phone for you. The optimus one has these capabilities but upto a limited level. If you just want to explore the android OS and download a horde of applications and do things such as emailing,messaging,chatting,browse the net,read e-books etc. then you should go for the optimus one without any doubt. I don't know much about the iphone but i can say that the galaxy s is rated as the best smartphone according to some reviews. Also, the android OS can be easily used to install and run 3rd party applications whereas iphone requires that you jailbreak and unlock it. On the other hand, the iphone has the best OS and a wide range of high quality apps but it is being said that the android OS will one day match it(or even overtake it). The ios is simple enough to use and the hardware packs the power to get most jobs done, none of this can be denied, so for that reason it is amazing. Android is constantly improving and getting there. However even as someone who favors android, I think that on a professional scale android has a bridge to gap.

blind_heart, 20 Jan 2011can you move apps in memory card?Some apps lack the capability to be able to be run from the sd card. Actually the applications were supposed to be updated and become 'froyo' oriented i.e. be able to be stored on the SD card. But since the updates haven't arrived and the optimus one internal memory was designed taking into consideration the following updates, everyone is facing the memory shortage problem. But the updates are surely destined to come and as more and more phones start running the android 2.2, the apps will eventually be able to be stored to the sd card. For moving the 'froyo' apps to sd, go to settings->applications->manage applications->downloaded->select any app->move to sd card. Or you may download the app 'app2sd' which will help you to transfer the 'froyo' applications from phone memory to sd. You can do 2 things:
1)Take the backups of the apps which use the phone memory using some app like the 'astro file manager'. After taking the backups, you can delete the apps not imminently required and restore them using 'astro' when required.
2)(easier one!)Download those apps which can be stored to the sd card. Almost every app which gets stored on the phone memory has its alternative which can be stored on the sd card. You can visit the site 'appbrain' and can easily find the apps which are sd supported.

Amir, 20 Jan 2011hi Prateek.......pls tell me should i buy iphone4 or galaxy... moreits already in 2.2 froyo.iphone 4 its expensive but its only for games and sms you cant feel cool at all and if you you compare the price here in phil its 40k vs 12k. im much stick with android rather the ipa. and to tell you the truth android is now hitting the globe it means many hacker will find a way to develop new apps for android.
P.S latest version of iphone 4 doesnt support jailbreak and unlock for this moment so you cant use it unless your at&t.
