Anonymous, 19 Jan 2011battery last...?poor. not even a day with normal usage of 1 hr talk time and 10-15 mins of browsing with wifi,data,gps, sync turned off 90% of the time

ambooz, 20 Jan 2011change the keypad setting to android keypad from LG keypad ... morethank you for the reply. would it be better if i bring it to LG for them to fix the problem ? the qwerty pad on android keypad is too small for me.

g, 20 Jan 2011i can't turn off the sound tone on my phone when im typing.... morechange the keypad setting to android keypad from LG keypad setting . You will get a black colour touch pad to type messages. I think this is a bug in LG optimus . for me it happened after the up gradation of soft version

When I'm using the phone keypad with t9 turned on, I can't type single letter words like I and a. I type the letter and it appears, then I press space and the letter is deleted and replaced by the space. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

In zedge you need to first search for the mp3 tune that you want to set as your ringtone. Once you download that mp3 through zedge, open 'zedge'->downloads->ringtones->tap on the mp3 that you downloaded->press the button with the two concentric circles on the left(while the tune is playing). A pop up menu will open. Here you can set the mp3 as your notification tone.

Make sure that your wi-fi router/dsl/modem is not locked with a key/password/passphrase. If you are able to connect to your router and then to the internet via your computer then,
Wi-fi settings(on the phone): Go to settings->wireless & networks->check the Wi-Fi option,then goto Wi-Fi settings. The available wi-fi networks will be displayed there. Select the network you want to connect to. Make sure that the 'wi-fi' and 'network notification' box are always checked so that you will immediately be made aware of any available wi-fi network in the notification bar. The notification bar also has a wi-fi toggle button which is the first button from left.
GPRS settings:settings->wireless & networks->mobile networks->check the 'data enabled' box->access point names->select the gprs network (for example mobile office in airtel. Make sure that gprs settings are active on your phone. Confirm this from the service provider)Gprs toggle button is the 4th from left in the notification bar.
Note:If you are connected to a wi-fi network and accidently switch on the gprs(data enable),wi-fi will be preferred.Check the gprs or data enable mode only when you cannot connect to a wi-fi network(i.e. it is locked or out of coverage area)

Dont go by the camera specs... you would rather use a digi-cam instead of using a phone for clicking photos. Looks and specs of LG optimus One P500 are cool over Motorola Quench or the Samsung Galaxy 550/580. I would recommend LG optimus One P500!!!
