Hi...i bought the fone 2 months ago and for the past few weeks I hv noticed that my gmail app does not receive mails automatically. I hv to refresh the app to receive new mails that are hours our even days old... Noticed it after I put taskiller on auto kill mode.. But even after putting gmail on ignore list and then turning the auto kill mode off entirely ntn is helping...gmail cannot receive msgs on its own.. Please help

Yes, opting to "Only 2G networks" saves battery... upto 35-40% approx with same usage paramteres, EDGE performance in general is very much ok..
but for say youtube, sites with pics and graphics and facebook albums etc takes bit of time...I tried with 3g as well as EDGE...a lag is noticeable in EDGE...but eventually doesnt bothers much. If you want fast acess while browing or something specific...simply switch to 3g for time being...
Battery now lasts till midnight for me :-)

1.. no you cant
2.. as far as i have browsed i dont think so , but you can have diff wallpaper for each home screen with a small application called multipicture live wallpaper ( thanks goes to Prateek for telling me that )
3.. call quality is great , it is noise less and very good
4.. battery is great as long as you are not doing very heavy multitasking , time and again keep killing the unneeded processes via taskiller application.
5..nope to use wifi you ll need a wifi adapter and modem installed on ur PC so that your O1 can receive wifi signals
6..yes you can , play the tune hit the sync button and it l be set ( i hope i got that right prateek )
7.. its there, provided you have entered your real location :P

Am planning to buy this phone and i have few queries
1.Will I be able to record calls ?
2.Can i create more profiles other than the default ones ?
3.Some ppl say call quality is not that good in this phone ? Is that correct ?
4.How abu the Battery Performance ?
5.I have a ADSl modem which do not have a WiFi option , currently am using this modem for browsing on my desktop, How do I use the same connection for Optimus One ???
6.Can we set mp3 files as ringtones ???
7.How about GPS feature in this Phone ?
I would appreciate if experts or ppl who are already using this phone might help me to clarify on the above doubts

When i was charging my optimus with charger, it lasted for 2 days with ease.
But just once, i had to charge it with Laptop & voila the charge is draining so fast.
gprs, wifi, blutooth, 3g is off.
screen brightness is also set for 10%.
there are few calls which dont last more than 5 mins.
Before 1 day, i have to recharge again. Now if i m charging with charger still it doesnt last for 1 day.
Need help. !!
