1)Try deleting the application using 'astro' file manager.
2)Don't use the task killer because when you do, it sometimes also stops certain essential android system applications. Instead, always try to do it manually by going to settings->applications->manage applications->running->select an application->force stop.
3)When the browser is open, press the hard menu button on the phone->windows. Now 'cross' out the windows you don't want to see.

win, 01 Jan 2011Phone is great but I am experiencing some rebooting issues.... more@win - I have the exact same problem as yours:
"My phone always freeze up then restart itself. After restarting it's showing that sd card has been removed unexpectedly."
I searched the internet and found several other sources confirming it. No solution found though. Let me know if you can find a solution!

I'm interested in this phone, but before i get it I'd like to find out if it can do exactly what I need.
1.I use MS outlook to organize my life- can the Optimus easily syncronize with outlook?
2.With android being developed by google I'm sure the phone would be exelent at searching the net, but are there any snags one should be aware of?

Did as you said...even uninstall, force stop clear data and cache are now all greyed out...
still app could not be deleted as mentioned...same messgae is displayed...
pls let me know if you get any break through...
also when phone is accessed after screen out / off...it displays a message in notification area sayin SD card unmounted....then it says SD card mounted back and now accessible something...what is happening.... i have activated Task killer is it due to that?
also how do we close web browser...i have to come all the way back back .... even opera mini has same issue..
i learnt a good thing, in date and time i had unchecked and kept custom time....then my gtalk started giving unsyncd messages in chat....after reverted back to network provided date and time gtalk chat was corrected in sequence...

Method to delete apps from OI file manager is not helpful to delete Bolloywoodji app, it says file can't be deleted... even neo had suggested this method... but its not working with co's pre installed apps...
