To use NAV APPS,make sure to activate WIFI or 3G,USE WIFI and also start USE GPS satellites in location and security settings on settings menu
Only if these are active you can use teh app
I set them active and start the app ,it works else you need to check with Customer care for it

you can check the review of Optimus one recieving phone calls in noisy environment it has a better results ,please chek teh review ofit to compare.
The Wifi can be used by using notification bar,ie dragging down and and one click to switch on
2nd option is using setting option in menu ,wireless and networks option and choose Wifi
to use WIFI, either have WIFI router connected to home internet or can use wherever open hotspot is available at restaurants,shops and few places..

[deleted post]the screen is flawless.very smooth and so is the keyboard which requires a little getting used to but after works like a charm.....the supplied headset r of the best quality u can imagine from a phone manufacturer....i had the creative ep630 earphones past 2 yrs specifically for my music but the i have got this phone,i am using the supplied earphones.and they are really great..sound for music via loudspeaker is also good.the best part is the screen and ofcourse android on it.

man i have tried quite a few times but no nav app isn't running and google maps work but cant detect my location and i trief ur tip of getting the lg keyboard back bur not happening...do reply

I had to say optimus has decent play for smart... moreThanks Neo, i am looking out of the two the Optimus one and the Quench xt5 for the strongest volume ring tone when receiving a call. and i am impressed by the feature of the Gorilla hardened glass on the Moto.
I am also wishing to learn how to use the Wi-Fi feature and also possibly go into my hotmail box or Gmail. cheers

And for 2nd Q,you can set upto 7 screens,so set a blank widget screen,
Goto to menu and press taskkiller continuosly for sometime it gets dragged to home widget screen,
there is refresh button over there,you can refresh and kill all tasks onmain screen

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2010been using it for 2 weeks n i'll give u an honest review ... morei know..but i think the battery prob is bcoz theer r many apps running in background..use appkiller to shut all unwanted apps..and c for ur self..im more interested in screen quality and usability of the touch keyboard..hows the audio quality and all in all working..help appreciated thnx

n i'll give u an honest review
BAD
battery isn't that great but do remember that every android has this problem whether its samsung,htc,moto etcc.....
camera isn't that great.since i dont really need a camera at all so it doesn't bother me at all but u should know that camera is just avg...
rest everything is like woe.feels great and an awesome internet and youtube experience and great screen quality and call quality is fantastic.

hi everyone..i have shortlisted HTC wildfire and LG P500..just curious about the quality of the LG..i dont need camera for any purpose...so beside pathetic camera...r there any flaws...or should i got with wildfire...any advice is appreciated..thnx in advance

pls somebody help me.i havethis awesome phone but only 2 problems.
1 how to use thegps sinceqhen i use navigation app it shows searching but nothing happens and so when i use google maps and select my auto default location it shows sonewhere in mumbai although i stay in new delhi and thats like 800kms far.......
secondly in order to get a better battery backup we need to stop those apps which r not required but in order to do so do we have to each time go in settings and stop it manually or is there any easy way.

I had to say optimus has decent play for smartphone,with all basic and mid end features.
If you are looking into high end good camera,this is not where you get and need to look at high end phones
Video and audio is good on phone and call reception is also good
i have loaded with lot of apps and games nearly 70+ and phone plays without a glitch

I am thinking of this handset Quench xt5 is on sale at Dick Smiths outright for only AU $ 299 therefore i am trying to choose between this and the Optimus one P500 as this unit is on sale at Allphones outright for AU $ 329 i realize that the LG is running Android 2.2 and the Moto is only 2.1 but i am not familiar with internet activities as an MP3 player and good speaker is to my liking also the Moto has the Gorilla glass and this may also be an advantage over the Optimus, i am nearly 60 so games and social activities are not required by me, any feedback would be appreciated plz.
