i think for now, nobody can defeat lg optimus one in its current price range now. it is a smartphone with all the capabilities of higher smartphone that anybody can use it as of now. no doubt this device will hit 10 million in a few months time.

I am actually thinking of buying Samsung Galaxy 3. This is a good alternative , but doesn't look any better than Galaxy 3 except Froyo.

/Laggy when playing "heavy" games.>> Havent tried yet!!
/Wifi seems to load slowly>> Wifi here is amazingly fast..:)
/My screen protector peeled off easily and i cant find any store who sells those>> No issues with screen proctector, though i am getting new new scrathes day by day!!:(

hey guys! I'l just share my experience in using this phone to those who are curious about the performance of lg optimus one. I've been using the phone for 2 weeks now and I must say that's it's a great device within the entry level category. It's available here in the philippines for 12,000 pesos.
Pro's:
/Good touchscreen response
/Fast CPU
/Display quality is above average
/Sound quality is decent ( no equalizer for the default player)
/Video playback is OK
/Battery back up is OK (not too good for me since I initially charged it for 15mins only since I have to go to work that time. :( I advise u guys to charge it overnight for the initial charge)
/Camera is average but the interface is brilliant
/Nice build quality/back and sides are not prone to scratches
Con's:

this phone is nice. i tried to access videos using the browser - 'skyfire' and the video even got buffered (on metacafe.com) but that was it! no video came up :(
please help.....

It won't get gingerbread, ever. But from all reports gingerbread isn't much of a step up from froyo (which is an excellent OS as it is anyway) and frankly for this price you really can't be upset about "only" having froyo.
