The Cebu City line was undisciplined. The LG guy was scolding the desperate crowd to be orderly and show order. That's how humiliating the whole thing looked to those around. People were holding their bladders just so they can grab that oh so pretty little thing that will be obsolete in just barely 6 months. This was a desperate ploy to attract attention and those who came became the poor evidence.

I thought this was going to be my first LG phone but after what happened today in Cebu. I don't think i will buy any LG phone. To have people wait that long and only give out 50 phones. Stupid and irresponsible!!!

And that sales guy of LG in Cebu City SM is very rude and unprofessional. He will not allow the customer to touch and hold the unit. He should be fired, the tall guy.

Cebu City PH SM Report on LG Sale Fiasco:
The desperate Cebuanos all looked PATHETIC. They were eating lunch in the line and packed butt to front. They were looped in a very long snake line and ONLY 50 Units were given out. This was sheer torture. LG must sell all future units of the P500 at that Php 6,490 price. The Cebuanos were made POOR FOOLS, and they all looked SLAVES OF THE SALE. I took one look and fled. Nokia was also firing its own salvo for 50% less on the C3.
This price war is not the last and more will be coming in the future.
Pagka-looy ug pobre sa galinya sa LG. Mga PAHOY.
One desperate looking sweating guy was clutching a plastic bag full of empty softdrink plastic cups and styrofoam food containers. The whole exercise was degrading and LG is to blame for making the Cebuanos so desperate slaves of consumerism.
They were like carabaos held by the nose with the promise of the LG Optimus P500.

lg promo of this phone force nokia to also hold a one day sale for its c6. intead of one hour, nokia held it for two hours. at sm north edsa,long lines already were forming once the mall opened at 10am eventhough sale would start 1pm for nokia and 2pm for lg. nokia's line was long but people were well behave while lg's line was longer but was totally in disarray. people were cramped like sardines and some start shoving and cursing that sm have to send in several guards to pacify the people to no avail. they should never held this kind of promo for only one hour. i left at 11:30am. hope nothing untoward happen but if anything does happen, LG and DTI, who approve this promo, should be held accountable.

damn! i didn't got lucky with the promo!!! stupid LG PHILIPPINES! it was just a marketing strategy! but i held the phone.. its very solid... i think its about the size of the wildfire..

I just bought the phone today and just been messing around with it for a couple of hours and my first impressions are:
1. Touch interface is very responsive (compared to my other capacitative touch phone Samsung Preston)
2. Solid feeling build quality
3. The camera is very decent
4. The screen is excellent even at 262k colors compared to my Samsung's 16m
Going to post more once I fully explored it, contrary to the reviews, it is quite fast even at just 600mhz

Is anyone having trouble with the Wifi on this phone? I've had this Optimus phone for 2 days and I can't get wifi working.
The phone has picked up my wireless PC, but when I put my password on the phone to connect to the wifi, it scans, connects and disconnects in seconds. I even typed in the the IP address and still it does not connect. Any ideas why wifi does not work? I have task killer and lookout security running in the background, could these programmes block wifi connection?
Please let me know how to set up wifi! Thanks in advance!

lg quality not good. that's why they are losing to samsung. their mobile unit is loosing a lot of money.
