i have taken lg p500 optimus on last month.
it have problem
1- home switch and search not working
2-call is not received when dial number it is always announced that number is busy.
3-screen is not locked in general and silent mode only lock in airplane mode
4- sometime automatically hanged.

I could not able to install vodafone GPRS settings on this phone. Are those settings compatible with this

Does any one know at what percentage of battery capacity will p500 shut down automatically.
My p500 is still on even when the remaining power is at 2%.

Gingerbread 2.3.3 v20e update working great on my optimus one.
I recommend you go for GB Update if you can.

joshua, 28 Oct 2011excelent featuers but only the thing is battery back up som... moreRegarding battery issues try the following steps :
1. in case of li-ion (dont worry it is used in o1 and almost all other sets) charge to 100 % and keep using till it is 0% keep doing this cycle 3-4 times it will definately improve backup .... this step is not necessary to be performed in back-to-back style , but dont give a gap of a month you can give a gap of week
2. factory reset phone when battery low is displayed or battery icon turns red then switch off and charge to 100% then switch on and use it will definately increase backup (IT DID FOR ME TOO) just backup all your data before factory reset
3. rest u know like keep network on 2g , wifi-bluetooth-3g data-screen brightness -- closed or at minimum level

i have been using Optimus One P500 last month. i upgrade 2.2.2 to 2.3.3 v20c in pune city by ownself.
its really awesome android phone in 10k. use battery caliberate for battery backup. close all applications whn time of not using, use taskiller, only no video calling supported and flash but it dosen't matter, video calling supported not many people use. also charges are high 4 Video calling.
i recommend an Optimus LG rockkkkssssttttaaaaarrrr

how to permanently disable GPRS of my p500. It automatically just turns GRPS on by itself. Is there a way to disable it?? I have already paid big phone bills because of this problem..

performance quadrant as you said i don mind beca i don play much of games or something which requires superb resolution or high end computing
i am more concerned wit backup
then to all guys who complain about dust issue i have been using this phone for the past 5 months i never faced such an issue
i have been using the pouch which came in the package since day one
only issues i felt is battery backup after Gb update
no flash for camera
no basseffect from the headset which came with the phone and no equalizer in stock music app

no matter what u do ur battery wont last long if u update to 2.3. froyo is always better as far as battery is concerned. i have calibrated my battery-factory reset- i have tried everything possible battery is still running out fast. 20c (india) slightly better-but not much. whats the use of ligtening fast speed if battery cant last.
