LG Pay coming to US in H1 this year
According to a new report out of South Korea, LG has confirmed that the company's mobile payments service LG Pay will arrive in the United States in the first half of this year. This will make the US the second market after Korea where LG Pay would be available.
The company said the service will be available in the US as LG Wallet. It's worth mentioning that an app with that name recently hit the Google Play Store, the listing for which said you need to have a G7 to install it.
And the report also says something similar: in the US, LG Wallet will be compatible with the G7 and V40, before expanding to mid-range phones next year (something we already know).
Given that the G7 (or whatever it will be called eventually) is set to be unveiled at MWC next month, it's reasonable to assume that the announcement for LG Wallet isn't far off as well.
